"Very disappointed. There was urine on the women's toilet. It was VERY noisy and hard to hear people talk, I suggest they play some light background music to downplay the noise. And there was a staff member who had a very long thread coming out of her bandaid, it was about 4 inches long and the bandaid was clearly worn out. The thread is very unsanitary, it could be going in peoples' food which they consume. I couldn't help but think if that thread was in my food. I'm quite grossed out."

"First time at this restaurant and we will not be back. The food smelled great but unfortunately had zero flavour. The chicken was dry and the salt and pepper vegetables had no taste other than hot red chilies."

"Gluten-free and no MSG. They make a gluten-free version of their salt and pepper squid for me using cornstarch and cook it in separate oil to prevent cross-contamination because I have Celiac Disease. Yum! Hot, fresh and never greasy. Hubby loves their Ginger Fried Shredded Chicken (hot) and we love the freshness of the Snow Pea and Broccoli in Garlic Sauce or in Ginger Onion Sauce. Chicken Mixed Vegetables, Vegetable Chop Suey to round out the veggie side of things and we are all set. I think all their food is MSG free as well. If in doubt, just request whatever you need. They are friendly and very accommodating."

"This restaurant has been a usual stop for me for over years. Its sometimes good, sometimes very good but this time I was quite disappointed. I ordered rake out but enough food for four. One if my favourite dishes is almond soo gai. On...this night there were no almonds crushed of otherwise. None at all ! It was simply soo gai. When I tried to pay for the take out order the hand held kept asking for a tip. I had to ask the employee to move past it for me. Why was I being hard pressured to give a tip on a take out order? It was not a surprise to me that the restaurant was empty. Hopefully they try to get back to the great restaurant it once was."

"Terrible. The food looked great, but my ginger chicken was very obviously undercooked as it was pink and chewy. The chicken was giant hunks and there were only 4 pieces of each type in the dish. The rice was mushy *and* crunchy somehow, not sure how they managed that. I have tried this restaurant once before and it wasn't great, but I don't remember it being this terrible. Would not recommend."

"I haven’t been in the Golden Inn in 5+ years and as always, it doesn’t disappoint. We stopped here twice on our trip. First time was after our arrival in Calgary, I was craving Golden Inn, so we made sure to stop by and get our regular order. Even for not being here for 5+ years, still the same delicious food. Second time was after a night of drinking and I brought my friends who never have had Golden Inn before and they were quite impressed and enjoyed every dish. Can’t wait to come back."
