"Visited at lunchtime, kitchen was closed due to the weather ? Ate very stale bread based things from the counter, and had a sad time. The soft play area is a nice idea, but it was quite dirty. This place has so much potential but...they need to either embrace the kid-friendly park cafe identity and perk things up a bit, offer fresh and more lovingly made produce even if it’s simple salad (as their name suggests sandwiches, soup and ice cream and coffee along with the soft play area OR become a reliable pizza restaurant for all (and then either dispense with the soft play, or ask parents to fold down buggies or keep them outside or in a dedicated spot so that the place is welcoming to all different sorts of groups). They place is doing both badly right now, and the poor serving staff (who were nice) have to deal with delivering the bad news that there’s no fresh food to every customer who comes in for lunch."

"The English breakfast contained 2 eggs, 1 bacon, 1 small sausage, 1 hash brown, a pot of beans only twice the size of an egg cup and about 3 mushrooms sliced up. Oh an a slice of toast for £7.95. The worst stitch is a can of coke is £1.90 and a orange is £2 a can. Breakfast includes no coffee. Came out hungry and around £10 put of pocket. Rather have a McDonald's breakfast and get more for less. Could understand if was Hugh quality locally sourced butcher produce but most was packet items at average quality."

"I ordered my breakfast (big smoke) but they forgot to mention the waiting time was 1 hour… after 45 mins waiting I asked for my food and the lady said ohh you are in a hurry, do you want me to check? Off course after 45 mins waiting I am now in a hurry. I had already finished my coffee and when she came back she said 5 more mins, so after 55 mins my food came… nothing out of the ordinary a toast with smoked salmon and avocado."

"The food here is nice, not everything is vegan but most of the menu is. Prices are good and there is lots of seating. The meatball focaccia was unbelievably tasty!"

"Disappointing. Well I have often been here in the past but not recently so thought it's worth a try because it's always been pretty good. We sat down, nicely greeted and had a quick look at the menu and ordered. The antipasto to share was fine as was the peroni. The problems started with the main meal. Literally straight after my partner had finished her starter she went to the toilet. Within a minute the main meal was on the table, she hadn't even come back! So she sat and was greeted with what I can only describe as a pile of pasta. I ordered the tagliatelle filetto, and my partner the special which was linguine and crab. I had one mouthful and the waitress was over is everything ok before I'd even swallowed it. I just said fine. As I carried on I realised it wasn't really fine but not wanting to make a fuss I carried on eating it. The sauce was plain with a strange taste, it was supposed to have white wine? The fillet steak was nice but ruined by the sauce, I had tomato skins and the green stalks in my food plus you could have fed people with it. My partner's was ok but again a great pile served with no finesse, crab shell and far too much crab blended into it, just over powering and not done very well. Having said that her sauce was much better. At the end of the meal I had every intention of paying for it putting it down to experience. When asked by the waitress if everything was ok I aired my grievances. She informed the chefs who then informed the manager who incidentally did not even come to see us, no problem. I asked for the bill but it never came, so we sat there another mins wanting to leave. I ended up going to the counter and again aired my disappointment only to be rudely almost shouted at, Did the waitress ask if everything was ok? he repeated this twice!! I said yes but within a minute and again I said I have no problem paying the bill but there was shell in the pasta and my sauce was terrible. Oh sorry is all I got, didn't even offer to pay our drinks bill which was only a peroni and a coke!! Well I can safely say I won't be returning after not even receiving a correct apology and treated like some idiot trying it on. I think looking at the kitchen staff too this must be the most unauthentic italian I have ever been to. If you go, have the pizza!"
