"Had a delicious brunch here. There really aren 't many breakfast restaurants/cafes in Dunedin 'getting it right '. Port Royal Cafe have amazing food that doesn 't leave you feeling dissatisfied or slightly ripped off. My boyfriend ordered the big breakfast fry up, and it came with roasties, loads of button mushrooms, prefectly cooked eggs, fresh thick toast A ! I had the bacon and egg bagel which was packed full of flavour, devine! Perfect coffee! Highly reccommend, and nice to go for a bit of a drive out to Port Chalmers too : I see other reviewers have made negative comments re. their service. We didn 't experience this at all, the staff were friendly, not too overbearing and we felt comfortable enough to relax and enjoy eachother 's company without worrying too much about the service. May have been lucky enough to go on a day where the staff were happy, who knows!"
