"Eating is not great. the guacamole was a little mad. the deserts are actually the best part in this place. the churros are filled with I think dulce de leche and were delicious. the tres leches cake was super moist and delicious. they had only one server that I felt he might have been thinned. but she was super nice and super attentive despite. she did a great job. not sure if I would go back."

"Freddy is the worst bartender in all of Manhattan.My date and I attended the Penrose this evening at 8 PM. We ordered one drink when we first sat down and then sat with our glasses empty all night.He walked towards our direction a few times, stared at our empty glasses and darted away, never once asking if we were okay or if we wanted another round.We waited for about an hour for the check. Freddy disappeared and no one was working behind the bar for a long time. We eventually had to track down a waitress from the other side of the restaurant to close our check.I have lived in NYC my entire life and this was the worst service I ever experienced anywhere, hands-down.If this was my bar, I would have fired Freddy on the spot."
