"If there was a 10 rating I would absolutely rate it! I have eaten at this place one other time and had a wonderful experience food is phenomenal. However, I chose to rate them tonight after eating there again because the place was packed, but the staff was so on point customer service was over the top. I even mentioned to my fiancé that for the staff to be as happy, helpful to go completely out of their way to make you feel like you are the most important person in the room is a sign of a great owner/manager!!!! As a person who is self employed, running my own business, that stands out to me the most so very important for a successful business. I don't have a boss, but work along side another business owner which if they weren't so adamant about customer service treating the employees with respect I wouldn't be associated with or working with them. Keep up the good work!!!"

"Stopped at Latin King, Italian Restaurant while passing through Des Moines. We told them we were from NY (true story), and they treated us like gold. Turns out the GM lived in Staten Island and came up in the restaurant business. He and our server Lexi know exactly how to bring hospitality and food together! The food was great. The people were great. The environment was great. We’ll be back next time we come through! ‘Tú saluté, cent anni’"

"Great neighborhood spot in Beaverdale with a focus on ‘80s and ‘90s music and theme. Local beers on tap and good food. I enjoyed the 1/2 order of nachos which was a huge portion and the open faced beef sandwich with red mashed potatoes. Delicious and above expectations. Bartenders Irving and rest of staff did a great job serving and being friendly. I will be back."

"Not really sure why this restaurant must be on opentable. it's nothing like eating good. also not sure why you would need a reservation. there seem to be many openings for walks. but if they are in order with beer and bar, this place is okay for that, but definitiw loud"

"We've gone here a few times and it's a bit hit and miss. First couple times was really good but the last time was a let down. My wife's pizza crust was really soggy and my calzone was wattery in the middle. Not what you want from brick oven pizza. We'll try it again and hope for the best."

"It was for my birthday. Our steaks were cooked wrong, I ended up switching with my spouse. Also I thought as in previous visits that a dessert was complimentary, we paid for. This visit out of all the times we have been there was not the greatest"

"Great Food and Owner. Our friends recently recommended this restaurant. The restaurant is small but it has the best pizza and friendliest wait staff of any restaurant in Des Moines. The owner comes to every table to say hello and sit and talk with you about your dinner to come. Simon must be 28 years old but watching how he works his restaurant and interacts with guest you would think he has been doing it for thirty years."
