"We had a reservation at 8:30 but when we arrived they told us that we had to rush because the kitchen closed at nine. Not only did the kitchen close at nine but by 915 they were putting pressure for us to leave. It was also a cold night and instead of sitting us under the overhang with the heaters they put us in a table that was an open air. We were freezing. There were plenty of tables in the covered area with the heaters. We asked, but they resisted so we stayed in the open air chill through the hastened meal. Food was too salty from the bronzing to the broccoli to the eggplant. We won’t be back."

"Very good ambiance. We had tacos. Spicy, fresh, and tasty. For us the tacos were sufficient for dinner. Drinks were good, the margaritas were very well done. It’s a combination of sports bar and restaurant"

"It was a quiet night in the restaurant February so noise level was low. They offer a ounce ribeye steak with veggies and twice baked potato. I asked the waiter if that was a missprint. He said "No." and it was delicious...my wife and I shared it. Monster Maui onion rings also excellent. The lights inside the restaurant were quite bright so views were not an attraction at night...but then Santa Barbara by night isn't the Las Vegas Strip. We recommend this restaaurant"

"This has to be at the top on anyone’s list for eating out in Santa Cruz. I have celiac they have wonderful yummy options INCLUDING a delcious mini loaf of GF bread All interactions w staff were pleasant, helpful if we needed Presentation of food was beautiful… tastes were (as I’ve said) delicious. There were 3of us and we all agreed, there will be other meals eaten at Chocolate the Restaurant."

"Unfortunately, we had a below average experience on my birthday visit.I reserved a table for 3 at 6pm via Resy. When we arrived, the hostess asked are you celebrating a birthday . I was surprised and asked how did he find out about it? Then the hostess responded that it's probably through Resy system. I responded it's interesting what data is gathered through the system And he asked impatiently, so is this for your birthday or no I said, yes, it's my birthday. So, the night started strangely, but whatever.While we were chatting and eating our appetizers, one busboy came over and asked if we finished the dishes, even though there are still food in the serving plate. Another 5 min or so, another busboy came by and asked if he could remove our plates. So quickly split up the remaining appetiziers and let him remove the plate from our table.After we finished our meal, the waiter came over and provided us dessert menu. I want to say in 2-3 min, the waiter came by and asked something like do you want a dessert or your check And, in case you were wondering, it was only 7:05pm and the place was half empty. I really don't understand why are they rushing us to finish and leave.Oh, by the way, remember that the hostess asked if we were celebrating my birthday? Well, I'm not sure why he asked because we didn't receive anything, not even a Happy birthday from anyone.Appetizers were great and tasty. We weren't so impressed with their main dishes. Dessert was great. But due to their service, I wouldn't recommend this place and not sure why it earned a Michelin star."

"The service was slow when we entered on a late Friday night but I will say that it was very much worth the wait. The meatballs may have been the best we have tasted and easily finished our plates. Would recommend just leave your hangry pregnant sister at home."

"The food is excellent at this little tapas restaurant. Very friendly service. Sister restaurant to Milk and Honey. Both have truly outstanding food. Pulled pork tacos, sliders, etc. outstanding. It gets busy and can be noisy depending on how many larger tables but not nearly as noisy inside as Milk and Honey."
