"Café Athena has really great, authentic Greek food. They have wonderful sandwiches, gyro and desserts. The service here is always with a smile and the place is relatively easy to get to. Try the gyro on their freshly baked bread. The tzatzaki sauce is freshly made with real Greek yogurt, not watered down plain American yogurt like so many other places."

"I have never written a review, but the food was mediocre and the service was so poor that it was shocking. The service was slow, terrible and people rude. We were overwhelmed for the meal and they struck a 18% satisfaction for our party of 4. Nothing on the menu said that the Gratuity was added above, but they hit on a 18% Gratity after incredibly rude. Be careful. There are many other restaurants overlooking La Jolla, which you will enjoy in peace."
