"We visited Ristorante Maximum twice whilst staying in the beautiful hills above Cava De' Tirreni. Although very busy with locals the first night, we were served incredibly quickly and the staff were very friendly and polite. The views across the valleys were incredible and the food (we had three courses) was just brilliant. The local wine too was delicious. All for an incredible price. Relaxed, friendly and a great atmosphere for an incredible price, I can't rate the place any higher."

"We stayed at dinner in this restaurant recommended by my brother who had already been, the owner is very helpful and friendly, it seems to go to dinner at his house. We were in four and we chose all different dishes starting from the appetizers, fries are really delicate and light, the first fish are the cherry on the cake, clams and porcini, to the scoglio and the pastries to the aast. the cod is to the livornese and fried and really a lot of stuff. we also took a pizza (particular) was really good, and if you like the meat you are in the right place and of excellent quality. what remains to say, go with confidence if the evening and ventilated is really good because it has tables in a beautiful covered garden."

"Go there at the sunset and enjoy the wonderful view. Do not get afraid of the road... The place is the last one before the Mountain path starts. Food selection is vaste and not trivial. Meat dishes, especially wild pork, are good. A lot of space. You can go with children or a large party of friends."

"Uninviting, especially for non-Italian speaking tourists. We were handed a physical wine list, but the main menu was a QR code on the table numbers. Their QR code menu has multiple languages to choose from, but the descriptions translated are incorrect. I ordered the filet thinking it was a steak, confirmed by the waiter medium, but it was actually hamburger steak, that was very dry. We were also each served a tiny appetizer without asking for it and charged; when I inquired about that while paying he said it was customary that all Italian restaurants do that, and that it’s listed on the menu. However when you scan the QR code for the menu it lists categories like “earth main menu” “seafood second course”. We didn’t even look at the appetizer menu because we weren’t that hungry. Personally, I feel it’s deceptive; we thought they were just being polite. There’s plenty of other restaurants along the main drag with more reasonable prices and better tasting that are more welcoming."

"La Foce Ristorante Pizzeria was the third restaurant in the area where we dined, as we were staying down the hill in Hotel Scapolatiello. It took us about a half hour to walk up the hill to this restaurant, and it was not great. Following a week in Italy, our standards had risen, and La Foce did not rate at all."
