"Disappointing Cannot fault the staff, who were over awed and short in number. Lovely all of them, under trying circumstances, as all around us were heard people complaining. We waited ages for our starters, but ut was saturday night so i suppose you expect to wait when it's busy, but over half an hour?! When it came it was fine, nothing fabulous but ok. The mains followed, eventualy, but both were bland in the extreme. The garlic bread too lacked any sort of taste. Very disappointed as visited other sites before and always been happy."

"Ordered a package, tablet by thunder and chips. two bites out of the pack everything I could taste was salt, continued to bind it right after. the donation dish was terrible, gave that to the dog. chips were soggy and even the dog would not eat them. takeaway by far"

"Tagged along my daughter treat for her mother on mother's day. the greeting and friendliness of the staff was genuine and special. I chose special menu from Mother's Day, which was excellent value well presented and delicious. started with portobello medium sea, which is a large mushroom with roasted vegetables with a round goat cheese. pork medaillen in marsala sauce the meat content was extremely generous and it was served with a trio sweet. the Amerretti cake for the conclusion was from this world. everyone on the party enjoyed their choices with pizza and lasagna and various appetizers and desserts. it's worth a try. we will certainly re beats all these “chain” restaurants they will find in the city."

"A local pub with really interesting food, regional ales, and a welcoming staff--what more could one want? Our hotel suggested The Swan as a good local. On entering, we could see it was popular with the locals; many of the patrons and the staff seemed...to have known each other for a long time. The special of the night was spicy chicken curry, a staple at many British pubs. A companion and I tried that and were delighted. When we commented to the server, he asked the chef to come out, and the chef's accent gave away that he was originally from South Africa. His curry had a slightly sweet note that I couldn't identify. He smilingly said it was mashed ripe banana, which he said is a common ingredient in South African curries. So, I recommend the specials, because they reflect something slightly nontraditional. The staff were welcoming, joking with us first-time customers as if we were locals. The pub focuses on Yorkshire ales (why drink Budweiser or Heineken in Yorkshire mostly within miles of Harrogate. And the staff are good at advising on less well-known varieties. All in all, the evening was really pleasant."

"We have gone to Jodeano's many times over the past few months and each time we have been very impressed. The cakes/cupcakes are to die for, the coffee/cappuccino is really good and the both the chicken salad and tuna salad babs were outstanding. In fact, I would go so far as to say that the tuna salad bap/sandwich was the best I can ever remember having and given that I am 70, I have eaten a hell of a lot of tuna salad sandwiches over the years. Actually, I am getting hungry just thinking about Jodeano's. In terms of the owners, I don't think I have ever been served by a friendlier people."
