"Good food. Homestyle country cooking. Steak was good and cooked well. Convenient when travelling and arriving late."

"We arrived at the same time. hjs is my fave almost food, as I prefer the thick cut chips. queue was on the door and moved slowly. when the order arrived, my pagan was not hot so that the cheese was only a bit colder. unmelted rubber. chips were great!"

"I have eaten Eggs Benedict in countless places, but I have never been so pleasantly surprised by the overall dish. Not only the perfect sourdough for it, but salmon was silky, eggs poached to perfection, a decent amount of Hollandaise, and then the little extra touch a perfectly matched dukkah! Who thought of that? Genius! Thank you, and can't wait to see you in Maryborough! Cheers, Anna"

"It's meant to be a 24 hour joint, but they close off the restaurant area and take ALL the chairs away at night so they don't have to let anyone into the toilets, which is the reason why they take the chairs away: Apparently they don't have to provide toilets for their customers if there's no seating. When I asked the security guys who were "guarding" the toilet entrance about it, they said it was because of drunk people. That's great. I don't drink alcohol, but somehow I still have to pay the price of being a drunk person myself. How exactly does that work if I don't drink alcohol?I won't bother going back here. I've never really liked this place anyway. They are never particularly friendly, but then what Maccas is? None that I've ever seen."

"Take your pick, sit within the confines of the kafe or within the arcade; the arcade was a bit windy on the day we visited but not uncomfortable; maybe shorter order number stands could be used though - as ours fell over and wiped the top off my latte. The food was great - lasagne, salad and chips x 2 - on special/ not a large serving but left room for dessert - in terms of presentation - one was standing, the other the slice had collapsed and didn't look as appetising - although both diners said it tasted good. The fish, chips and salad was the other meal, which was also appropriately priced for the size of the meal, although I am sure my adolescent son would not have been satisfied if he had been with me. We also had lemon meringue tart and caramel tart for dessert. The difference in size of the slices of caramel tart was really obvious, lucky one of the diners only wanted a small piece even though the price for both was the same. The mains plates remained on the table and were only collected after the desserts were delivered; so we had plenty of time to look at the empty plates and noted that all three were chipped, whether it was a square or round plate. The espresso in flat white/ cap/latte were all good. We selected the kafe, after intending to go to the nearby pub, but thought their prices were too high. On the whole I will return once more but if the plates are chipped, tables not cleared and uneven quantities served next time, then it will be the last time for a very long time once again."
