"Pleasant enough cafe in khandallah village. Standard range of cabinet muffins, scones etc and a range of glad-wrapped sandwiches. The coffee is reasonably good. Clean, small and seemed to be well patronised. Very pleasant couple who run the business. Probably the pick of the village cafes. Some serious competition in Boxhill though, suggesting an notch upmarket might be a good idea."

"Well priced coffee and absolutely delicious! The Barista are always friendly and super fast. Also grabbed a savoury muffin to try which was pretty good too! Could have used a bit of butter haha."

"The baked goods here are fantastic. Homemade and hearty. Coffee also good. However, staff was not welcoming. I came in with a friend and the lady ignored us to clean tables. Took a good 10 minutes before we were noticed. Also, no labels on the cabinet items. Therefore, had to ask about each item as it was my first time there. The staff looked annoyed by this but how were we suppose to know if it is not labelled. I personally would not go back to dine but rather takeaway."

"What a treat to be able to challenge your taste sensibilities with such an amount of different flavours and textures. Attentive staff always on hand to clear the clutter and fill the glasses and provide a help on what you are ordering. This was the one place we expected good food, but the experience was more around how the different ingredients can provide a contrasting taste based on what you decide to use in that mouthful. You could get three different taste experiences from the one plate. Not the choice for cheap and cheerful, but for spoiling and feeling special with the associated price. We had the Scallops and Venison starters followed by the Chicken and Salmon mains. Oh and a few cocktails."

"I love this family run place! I have been coming here for years and Clarks has got it all! Fantastic food, outstanding staff and brilliant location and atmosphere. Having young kids, it is really good being able to sit back, relax and take 5 as they enjoy the playground. I love coming here in the summer and going for a stroll straight after in Civic square and the water front in the sun. The coffee and food here really are excellent! My favorite are their cheese scones and steak and mushroom pies. If you are a sweet tooth check out the Clark's chocolate cake and millionaires slice!! Finally, can I just say one more time how awesome the staff are here so friendly, helpful and kind. You are hard pushed to find a more hospitable café in Wellington. I highly recommend!"

"A great place to drop in for a relaxing coffee or something more substantial from the cabinets or menu. Our coffees were delish, as was the food we chose, which included a breakfast dish of poached eggs, tons of avocado mash and some tasty looking dark bread, and a simple ham and cheese toasted panini. The sweet treats are quite a bit different from what I’ve seen elsewhere, plus they have a variety of organic rye and spelt breads for sale too. The ‘deli’ section is very small, but it contains some fine Italian meats and cheeses, all of which are cut to order. The service is hospitable, and the decor is very pleasant, the highlight for me being the wood feature wall (see photos)."

"Had a lunch of salad from their cabinet today. <br/>Such an awesome selection and lots of colourful veges on display. <br/>I got a large serving with chicken and bacon salad and Asian vegetables and beans. The salads were clearly labelled with their dietary requirements which is great. <br/>For $13 it was a relatively reasonable portion size. <br/>The salads were good, the chicken was a little overdone but I'm sure I'll be back"

"Outstanding. Friendly service, great selection of food and has a good selection for allergies (I have an egg allergy and gluten intolerance). Had the beef salad and the noodle salad and both were really yum! They even warmed the noodle salad for me. Good spot to sit too as its a little secluded which is a nice break from the hustle and bustle of wellingtons golden mile. Will be back. A+"
