"Amazing food!! We had a glory bowl and a moroccan bowl. The moroccan bowl had a spicy tasty daal and chicken. The glory bowl was fully vegetarian and had a very unique taste to it. The veggies were fresh and just went really well together! The sauce justgave an amazing unique taste/feel to the entire bowl. Would recommend."

"I have never written a review on a fast food restaurant before for two reasons, never go to fast food restaurants and have always considered them sub-par. I just had to write one in this case as I found myself in a situation where I needed to stop for a breakfast item because I was starving and really pressed for time.I knew A&W offered eggs on their menu so when I drove up and saw the English muffin version of bacon and eggs I decided, what the heck. I was very surprised.The muffin was toasted perfectly and the bacon nice and crisp! Eggs were cooked to perfection and I just gobbled it up. I even stopped again a few days later, just because. Same excellent sandwhich, just as good as the first one so obviously not a flook.When I returned to my home town I decided to stop at my own local A and W hoping to get that same great taste, but alas, not to be. The muffin wasn't toasted enough and the bacon was undercooked. It was also an annoyingly long wait.Whatever your doing, Courtenay A and W, keep it up. Looking forward to the next time I'm in town!"

"I ordered a few things to be delivered to my Grandma in Courtenay and I can't express how grateful I am to the team at Hot Chocolates. Everything was wonderful I ordered a sour dough bread, pecan bars, and a box of sea salt caramels (my grandma loves caramel) and she loved everything she received. Thank you Hot Chocolates for adding some warmth into her life."

"Wonderful. The ladies who run this lovely cafe are so friendly and very caring. The food is all extremely fresh, simple and delicious. No issue at all in making a lovely vegan salad for me and the focaccia was crazy good. The perfect place to enjoy lunch after 2 hours of kayaking on the estuary."

"What a spread. At the end they had a Ham, Lamb, Turkey carve.Seafood selection from both Coasts, Atlantic Lobster, Pacific Crab, clams, muscle. Salmon.One of our family said his oyster was frozen.Excellent service, quick with beverages, and quick to clear.Wide assortment of desserts.Something for every diet need.We'll take the family again."

"I stopped on my way from Campbell River to Nanaimo for a quick bite and to use the restroom. The staff was rude and dismissive, especially the guy who seemed to be the lead. If all the facilities at the site are not available to the public, do not sell food, period. Please hire staff that is courteous and professional, and not in an absolute hurry to shut down the place and rush home. It is a business in the hospitality sector, is it not? Perhaps I am mistaken. If shutting down on time is such a priority and a prerogative? Do not let customers in 15-20 minutes prior to closing time. Food was bought, and I chose not to argue, this review is the feedback."
