"Disappointed.... I went in there WANTING to like this place, and expecting it to be great! The line was SUPER long, so I figured the desserts must be really good, but I wasn 't impressed. Service was fast and friendly, but I was expecting the best desserts in town... I had a cannoli...Not sweet enough, seemed to be defrosted recently, and just not even close to a GOOD cannoli.. I also had 2 chocolate candies 1.50 each! . I had a strawberry basil and a lavendar milk chocolate.. I think Lindt makes better chocolates by a mile. Sorry, Sweet Life, I was simply disappointed. I will try again sometime soon, I hope it 's better :"

"Stopped in ordered a breakfast sandwich, waited what felt like 20 minutes and left without my food. They were not slammed with customers and overall the place was pretty empty. Not to mention the other people who were waiting before I had even arrived still hadn't received their orders. Poorly run business, and flat out not professional. Save your time and make it yourself. This whole being asked to tip before a service is rendered movement is absolutely bonkers to me, this place takes the cake. Here's a tip: Do better or don't do it at all."

"Totally average and that's okay. No frills, no fuss standard donuts. They get the job done. Taste fine. Nothing to make you say wow but perfectly feasible to satisfy a donut need"

"One of our favorite things to do on the weekend is to go for a long walk down to Studio One Cafe for an amazing breakfast. There is always a good mix of people in there and it has definitely become more popular since we started going years ago. They serve lunch and dinner as well, but the breakfast is by far the best."

"Driving from the SF Bay Area to Portland my wife and I decided to break up the drive and stay a night in Eugene at Velo B&B. Our stay there was so wonderful that we booked an extra night on our way back home. Misha and Rob are warm and welcoming hosts and their peaceful and cozy B&B is the perfect getaway. The rooms are cozy, meticulously clean and comfortable and the common areas have vases with fresh flowers as well as a great tea selection. Breakfasts are delicious and plentiful and they were happy to prepare foods to meet a variety of dietary preferences. On our first stay we started with freshly baked strawberry fig muffins that were out of this world. When we returned from dinner in the evening we were served amazing warm cookies that were just out of the oven. What really sets Velo B&B apart is their commitment to sustainability. The food is organic with much of it grown in their own garden, and they get around almost exclusively on bicycles (Rob builds custom cycles, some of which he showed us). They provide top notch accommodations while maintaining a light footprint. They also have a rescued cow and chickens as well as a couple of cats. (Fortunately for my wife who is seriously allergic to them, the cats do not go into the indoor guest areas If you're going to the Eugene area, staying here is a no brainer. Why stay in some anonymous chain hotel when you can stay in this warm, peaceful and cozy b&b and get a delicious homemade vegan/vegetarian breakfast for the same price or less? We'll be back!"
