"I once visited this establishment and thought the cupcakes were not good but my grand daughter saw the sign and wanted a cupcake so I gave in. Upon entry I was asked if I had been there and the answer was yes and the employee assured me a lot had changed and I told him I hoped so because I don't recall it being good. The service was nice, the inside decor was a little over done. The cupcake for $4 was not worth it. The cupcake itself taste like cornbread and not even Jiffy. The buttercream you could taste the butter and only difference between the 2 cupcakes I got was the icing otherwise it was a different buttercream taste on cornbread."

"AVOID THIS PLACE!! The worst food in Houston. Anyone who is writing positive reviews about this place is absolutely out of their mind. Here was my experience: Eggs Benedict: overcooked eggs topped with yellow onion frosting. They call it hollandaise, but I will actually chew off my own arm, have it stuffed and mounted, and present it to them as a trophy if they actually have a single correct ingredient in that disgusting, grainy, sweet paste they are calling hollandaise. the chocolate pancake is an interesting item. It 's $7.50 for a triple stack of chocolate chip pancakes, according to the menu. But pay the extra $1.50 for the chocolate pancake , you get one single chocolate chip pancake. Makes sense, right? crispy breakfast potatoes. Here is how you make them: deep fry potatoes in the oldest fryer oil you can find until dark brown. Then, steam in a Styrofoam container until they are burnt, but soft and greasy. Mmmmmmm mm! to the guy who cuts the fruit: you 're the best chef in that restaurant. This man needs a raise! He gave me my only edible item today. When I tried to get ahold of the restaurant immediately after we started breakfast to let them know that my order wasn 't acceptable, there is radio silence. Had to reach out to the third party delivery service they use, and they offered me HALF of the money back for an order of food that went straight to the garbage bin."

"I pass Dosey Doe on the way to work but had thought it was just a place for live music and bar food. On a whim a friend and I met others there for a lunch. The diningroom was empty one other table had a gentlemen finishing his meal. I was hoping it was just quiet due to an earlier lunch (11:30). Our waitress was quick to the table, dropped off menus and took our drink order (sweet tea, please) and zipped back to her stations. We reviewed the ALL DAY BREAKFAST menu with hints of our Cancun vacation (migas) and elevated fare (benedict) alongside the old timey favorites of chicken fried steak with pepper gravy. I was torn as the other side of the menu promised BBQ and a slew of other southern lunch favorites. Smack in the middle is the promise of a sweet Argentinian empanada with fruits and cream. We had the chicken fried steak and gravy with biscuit, the eggs benedict and brisket and pulled port tacos. We started with the chicken fried steak bites with gravy for dipping because....yes. I wish now I had taken pictures, but we were hungry and it was smelling awesome. The meal came out quickly and it was AMAZING. The BBQ was a mix of lean and fatty brisket in two taco and the pork butt in the other. The right amount of smoke the meat was tender and delicious. It was garnished with onions, cilantro and lime with a side of BBQ sauce and a creative derivation on succotash. It had corn and peppers and tomato and was charred to perfection. The benedict seemed a little...homey with the sauce covering a very well contained egg on the english muffin and the hashbrowns were divine. The chicken fried steak covered the plate, as it should and was smothered in gravy. The fresh, hot, steamy, fluffy biscuit was delivered with some fan fare. All in all, we were thrilled with lunch and there were far too many items on the menu that I need to try. Trying (not hard enough) to get a group back for a Sunday brunch hoping it's not too busy. Oh...and the decor was a fun mix of vintage vibes. Mobile pegasus, old radios, dark and brooding. Can't say I'd like it different for it being a whiskey bar another element to try."

"This has become my new favorite spot!! First impressions mean everything and let me just say the first thing I noticed was how friendly the staff is. They are always smiling and happy to help. The coffee is delish!!! I am officially hooked. Oohhhh and the prices are the lowest around. Great coffee, staff and prices!!"
