"After spending an afternoon in Steveston, we decided to take a load off and have lunch somewhere on the waterfront. Expecting to pay a premium for average food from a place right on the water, we were pleasantly surprised with our experience. The burger on...a unique pretzel bun was outstanding, and the truffle fries were the best we ever had. Probably the most unexpected surprise from the Kove Kitchen was their selection of authentic Ukrainian dishes. As part of a special menu, they offered borcst, pirogues, varenyky and cabbage rolls. I come Ukrainian decent and have not seen my folks for a long time, primarily due to the pandemic. Stumbling upon the Kove Kitchen and enjoying a comforting meal of delicious, home cooked Ukrainian cooking was the highlight of my day. Our entire experience at the Kove Kitchen was exceptional – the food, view, ambiance and the wonderful service staff. Thank you, we will be back!"

"We decided to try the white spot airport location as our flight was cancelled and we had to wait 4 hours for our next flight . Our server was rather short and not very pleasant to us or to other staff that day as we...observed during our stay. Not once did he ask how things were or if we wanted anything else. We watched as he would clear half a table and leave the other half for over 10 minutes. Did this to several tables and us included . We also observed how the table next to us had their credit card out for 20 minutes bill in hand and how our server just walked by and did nothing . Restaurant was only 1/4 full and it was 0830 in the morning. Our server only asked half our table if they wanted more coffee and ignored the others (who had hot Chocolate. He was not very organized nor pleasant that day and ruined our experience. The food Itself was okay and reasonable in Price ."

"Food was delicious and our server was lovely.However one of the servers had nails about 3 inches long which was pretty gross considering the hygiene issues with that. Not something you want to see in a food environment and glad she wasn’t my server. A couple of the other servers also had long nails but not nearly as long as the one. So maybe this is an issue of regulation standards of the restaurant rather than an individual level.Other than that the service was great"

"We went to try a tasting for our daughters upcoming wedding and the food was fantastic! We started with appys and from the mini fish tacos to the Korean cauliflour, to the black pepper tofu spoons, everything was delicious. Then there was fig and walnut salad, smokey grilled eggplant, seared ocean perch and the most delicious wild mushroom polenta. Add to that the grilled corn and carrots and tomato based orzo and we had a meal to remember. We finished with pies for dessert, also incredible. I'm definitely going back for lunch or dinner! They are now open for dinner!"

"This restaurant is in truth a dive. I recognize the proprietor as formerly operating the kitchen at the Army Navy and Air Force Vets at 11900 # 1 Road. The restaurant primarily exists to service the staff of the Steveston Harbour Authority and local fishermen. I was there once and while the food wasn't bad the ambience is terrible"
