"We were regularly before and after the conclusion, so we thought it was high time that we had a review as we take it for granted. jay and the waiters are friendly and helpful and know exactly what table we like and have our poppodums and be ready to ask without. the menu is extensive with innovative home specialities as well as the traditional curries and all that we have tried were delicious with a good balance of juicy meat or chicken or fish and sauce and a generous portion size. we have tried many Indian restaurants in the run of the years, the monsoon is the best."

"If you are staying at Copthorne hotel and want a takewaway without having to drive 20 minutes, then I recommend the Gaangchil. Nothing fancy about the place but the food is really good. Freshly ground spices, very nice fresh-tasting sauce. Reasonable prices. It's really worth a try. And while you're there, there is also a Spar supermarket where you can pick up any extra snacks you may need."

"I used to rate this as the best place to get an Indiean takeaway in East Grinstead, unfortunately we have had several below par experiences recently. This came to a head today when we ordered several dishes at a cost of £58.60 to get home and find that one was missing and the Masala was only half full. I rung to complain and was advised that the missing dish wasn't ordered, but there should have been a different dish in its place which wasn't there. I was told to bring the order back, which I did. They then preceded to give me a replacement Masala and a new bryiani but wouldn't change any of the other dishes which were now 30-35 minutes old. When I queried this it clearly ticked the difficult box so I demanded my. Money back and went to the Nizam for a wonderful curry and joyful experience. I will never eat in the Surma again."
