"Lovely outlook and comfy chairs. Good drink service and tables clean Commenced with scallops in a nice sauce but needed to be balanced salt sugar. Oysters were beautiful big plump quality, however the topping was very sharp acidic. Raw king fish was beautiful all of...it. The chicken liver parfait is the nicest I've ever had. The crisp seeded lavish typebread is delicious. Served with prunes but again a sharp acidic juice needed balancing. Pork belly plentiful but poorly cooked dry base and soft crackling. Terrible coleslaw which is actually a nasty flavored vinegar?? Fish well cooked plentiful. Big meaty mushrooms didn't seem to match the delicate fish. Dessert chocolate mousse cream on chocolate crumb with raspberries was very nice. The sour dough bread is served with a type of butter whip...yuk it's like cheap margarine. I suggest to order off the menu and not go for the chef choices."

"One of the better meals we had. came to the breakfast and was not disappointed. the coffee was beautifully made with good aromen of the bores. we had the hearty French toast with black pudding, which was an interesting recording on the normal sweeter version. the brot was clear and interesting and good with the black pudding, the tasty and deviated from the stodgy versions that may sometimes appear. the stirrup was perfectly cooked, but under seasoned. accompanied with chorizo but made it extra special. the personal was friendly and attentive. hidden from the normal tourist opposite, but one to recommend."

"Great food, great service. My friends came here for 3 days in a row. I only got to go once before we left hobart but will be straight back when we return. Even going to pick up a coffee and some records on my way to the airport. A proper cozy cafe where yr cups are not matching and they know how to make tea. Coffee damn good too"
