"Me and my partner ate here for dinner, we both got the schnitzel and it was amazing! Cooked perfectly and tasted 10/10. I got a glass of wine and my boyfriend got a beer and our bill came to €30 so was very good pricing! Our waitress was lovely and spoke very good English. Overall a lovely restaurant and would recommend to anyone!"

"As we were staying in the hotel we ate there on several occasions and of course had breakfast each morning. I was very pleased with both the food and the excellent service.the ambience is very good also."

"Very friendly staff, good service, a massive wine list, mostly german wines, small menu, which in my opinion ensures good quality, fresh produce, but, if for example, I order pasta with mushrooms ( Pfefferlinge) I think just 6 mushrooms on the pasta is a joke! If I order fish on tomato and the slice of tomato is bigger than the portion of fish?? The fish is tasteless and I am paying €33 There are too many other excellent restaurants in Cologne. We will not be back at Wein am Rhein"

"Leider nicht so wie erwartet. Waren vor ein paar Jahren schonmal hier und aufgrund der damaligen guten Erfahrung wieder da. Leider war das Essen maximal mittelmäßig und nicht wie erwartet. Die Fischpaste (?) zum vorab servierten Brot war sowas von nicht mehr frisch...Die Gerichte (wir waren zu sechst) eher sehr lieblos und durchwachsen. Das Fleisch war gut gebraten und lecker..der Rest...naja..Schade"

"We wanted to go here on a Saturday evening but only decided on it after noon. Tough chance, but I called anyway. They said they where fully booked, but if we came at 9pm they would have a table, if not directly after a little wait.So we went, a bit before noon, we were expected. The 2 of us joined a large teppanyaki table with 2 other, independent couples. This was very ok, the tables are spacious, it didn't bother us at all. And no we're not the kind of people that just likes to join any random group. We don't really had contact with the other except for a nod or a smile, so perfectly fine.Then the food. We both took one of the menus. It was brilliant. I stared with some sushi / sashimi .. very tasteful and high quality. The rest of the menu was on the hot plate: tuna and steak, both excellent quality. My only regret is I didn't order some extra sushi as starters, because I just wanted more of them :-)The "show" on the teppanyaki is just fun to see. The food is prepped right in front of you with great skill. You see the freshness and quality of the ingredients firsthand. Fun to watch, great to eat. We had some excellent German wine to accompany the food, just by the glass but they had a decent wine list as well. And a tempting saki list, where I didn't dug into .. this time. Other tables where drinking beer as well. I wouldn't advise that, but you know, Germany ..Then there's the price .. I see people complaining about the price. I simply can say this: if you don't think it's worth spending over €150 for 2 people on dinner, whatever the quality of the food, don't go here. There's nothing these people can do to please you. If, however, you want to pay extra for quality, skills, atmosphere and experience you can't be disappointed. I totally recommend this.The staff was also very friendly and more than ok with English. And, as a bonus: we only sat down for like a good hour. I can imagine people relating this to money as well (expensive for such a short time) but I assume if you really want you can stay longer. For us, having a fluent service that doesn't take too long is preferable, especially late at night.So to conclude with the title: I'll be back :-)"
