"We wanted some nice Italian food after walking around Montejo avenue and after try some nice local food (quite spicy) we need something we'll known and found in Google this restaurant with a good reputation, so we went (really close to Montejo) and it worth...to try it. "We were recommended this restaurant by our Tour Director. It was just a block or so from the Hotel and we walked over for a fabulous dinner! We did not reserve but we're warmly welcomed there. The Receptionist even assigned us an English speaking waiter...who was really friendly. Service was perfect and the food just as perfect. For my starter, I had the Sea Bass Carpaccio marinated in Maracuja (Passion Fruit). It was probably one of the most delicious Carpaccio's I've ever had. Followed that up with Coconut Shrimp for my main course. The shrimp and sauce were both amazing. My friends secretly arranged a lovely little dessert as a birthday surprise, that was good too!! No better way to spend a birthday. Perfect place....beautiful ambiance, perfect food and service and a gorgeous Dia De Los Muertos Offrenda Would I go back? A huge Yes and highly recommend it to others."

"On the outside it looks like nothing amazing, but OMG this place is really good for a quick snack. It's on the corner of the plaza opposite the cathedral. It's no nonsense food and cheap. I am vegetarian so finding anything without meat in Mexico...is a feat. I had the quesadillas with mushrooms and they are LUSH!!! Ordering and getting your food is a bit of a shambles but bear with it and you will be fine. They take your order and then give you a receipt. It has an order number but I found remembering the person served before you helps (if your Spanish is as bad as mine). They shout out the orders and you go to collect. They also do take out if you don't fancy sitting in. It's very basic, plastic tables nothing fancy. It's cheap, tasty and a great quick snack. Try if you are in Merida."

"We have discussed going here since the restaurant opened and we have received several comments from our friends. We agree with the comments regarding the location, wonderful view of the church at Santa Ana which is lite well at night. I would guess parking is only on the streets but that is not an issue for us since we live in the area and walk everywhere. The atmosphere is quite pleasant with cove lighting and suspended, exposed filament light bulbs, clean and crisp would be a good description.We shared the calamari frito, a crispy pile of calamari rings, a mound of shredded kale or other green and a nice quantity of tartar sauce all served on a rectangular black plate. After much discussion between us we concluded that the crust on the calamari was excellent, light and crisp. The tartar sauce one of the best we have ever had and the shredded greens a nice touch. The only complaint was that the calamari were very tough, almost not chewable and in-fact very hard to cut with our knife, this could be the fault of over cooking? The serving was rather small but that could be overlooked if the calamari was not tough. The price $110 mx. We both had pasta dishes with a ham and bechamel based sauce, mine baked with parm. and bread crumbs, his with portobello mushrooms. Both were quite good, large servings, but we both added some salt, which is not an issue as over salting would be. We both felt the wine prices were on the high side by the bottle and several of the house pours were french, fairly priced by the glass but wonder what the quality is based on the price.Service was attentive and efficient, the restroom very clean and nicely decorated, women downstairs mens upstairs. Conclusion, we will try again, usually we go to new restaurants 3 or 4 times to get a feel for the place. The prices are definitely on the upper end of Merida dining for Italian cuisine and consequently should be always excellent. We understand the nuance of different cuisines within a country and appreciate the variance between northern italian and cuisine from Naples."

"We have dined here twice and enjoyed both meals. The architecture and design of the space is very nice blending an old home in Centro with a contemporary edge. As a previous reviewer commented, try the tasting flights of their beers to explore the tastes of what they make. Both flights are very enjoyable and quite generous in their pours. The cuisine has its roots in local yucatecan food and is done with a twist. We plan on returning soon but will probably avoid the weekend with the live entertainment, a little loud for our tastes."

"Stopped by for an early lunch on a friends recommendation. So happy that we did! peso lunch choose your pasta, your sauce, your extras... Pay what you choose.The fettucine Alfredo with mushrooms and bacon was the best I have had in a restaurant...teeming hot with lots of both bacon and mushrooms. It comes with a beverage and garlic bread. Too stuffed for desserts after that. Will definitely go back!"
