"I have recently not visited the next door in the last 2 years and I forgot how tasty her eating is we ordered 1. siomai while the siomai was good, it was not something that turned out like I had better siomai elsewhere. it was still good. 2. yang chow fried rice my opinion about the best yang chow fried rice I had. I think I can eat the rice alone! 3. next door chicken chops quite simple, but they dive the chicken into the sweet acid sauce and it turns into something really pleasant. 4. they will ask if they want to rip the salt and pepper in or the red sauce. we have chosen the latter. it had been used wisely on typical spicy in the Chinese kitchen, so that it...read more"

"I am always a little suspicious of restaurants that try to be all things to all people. If you’re serving BBQ, don’t throw in fajitas for good measure. If you’re a burger joint, I really don’t want fish from your kitchen. Know your strengths and leverage them to the hilt!

North Park Noodles does exactly that. They are all about HK style fare, especially on noodles. However, it's already given that noodles are the bestsellers here (they've put it beside their name so no questions about it), another fave dish that I order every single time is the lemon chicken. The recipe for the batter is attractive and the chicken tastes fresh & juicy, like it was fried in clean oil and all. If I shut my eyes for a moment, I can just about picture being served this in a loving home.

Great stuff for a quick lunch sitdown especially when you're alone, doing last minute holiday shopping before heading home to the province!

"

"FOOD: So I had their Irish Cream Frappe and Chocolate Chip Cookie. I actually love their drink. It's not that sweet, but the coffee flavor is strong. While the chocolate chip cookie is good too.

SERVICE: Good service. The staff are all well looked after, but they don't smile.

AMBIANCE: It's pretty dark in the shop itself so I decided to stay outside the shop."

"The theme is pretty rustic but cozy. I like that the ceiling is high, it really makes a lot of breathing room.

If I remember correctly, I had the 6 hour (not sure about the time) pork. You will recognize this immediately based on the time. Haha. This comes with aligue rice and an iced tea. I think it's part of their lunch specials. The price is around Php320-350.

Now the food. It's oily and salty. But if you don't mind then go ahead. Haha."

"Gourmet street food. That's the most accurate description for this place. They give their own twists to the usual street food in the PH but personally I find their food overpriced knowing that I can buy the same things outside for a much much cheaper price. Well, at least theirs is cleaner and obviously less sketchy! It's better to try stuff in the menu that aren't on a stick, like Crisfy Fork. Big, crunchy slices of bacon with bit of breading. Then pair it with their 45-peso beer. Damn, son. Wala nang mas masarap pa sa sulit.

It's one of the two places in that part of Kapitolyo lit up and full of parked cars. (The other one is Uncle Moe's which is just nearby!) They did a pretty good job with their eye-catching pink and blue neon sign, plus the graffiti and writings inside are nice too!"

"Shaburi is an eat-all-you-can Japanese Shabu-Shabu restaurant found in the Uptown Mall at the Bonifacio Global City. Shabu-shabu is a mainstay in the local food industry but it is usually Chinese style and sometimes Taiwanese style. This is the first time I have heard and tried of Japanese style shabu-shabu. I am a veteran of Chinese style (oily and heavy broths) and Taiwanese style (less salty and oily) shabu-shabu and I think the Japanese style is a little mix of both.

Each customer is provided a cooking pot and the first step is choosing the soup base that you want. For new customers, they give you a free sample of each type for you to decide which soup base you will use for the remainder of your meal.

The buffet area is where you get the vegetables, noodles, assorted meat balls and the ready to eat food like chicken wings, gyoza, rice and soup. On the other hand, the sliced meats are brought to your table directly, freshly sliced and not like other grill and shabu-shabu restaurants where they are unsanitary exposed at the buffet area.

The different eat-all-you-can packages revolve around the number of meat plates you want (if numbered or unlimited) and all of them include unlimited buffet area access. I found the lunch promos quite enticing with a plate or two of the meat and then unlimited buffet access for an affordable price.

Shaburi is an excellent restaurant with good food and service. I hope they open more branches soon especially nearer the Greenhills area where I live!

snapsnstories.blogspot.com"

"Spatzle was one of the hottest places that EDSA Shang's new wing opened about four years ago. Since I hardly go there, this is my first time at this place for lunch. It was supposed to be in a ramen place nearby but at least this came from one of my places to cross off my list of places in this mall. My colleagues ordered Swedish meatballs that I should have ordered afterwards. Spatzle is named after a type of pasta from Europe, as it serves European comfort food here, such as Rosti, a potato dish of Swiss origin. Heard the owner is the original owner of Teriyaki Boy. This is a cool treat because I was a huge fan of the first store in Greenhills.

I ordered one of their supposedly bestsellers, the Coffee Crusted Bistecca, PhP585. Boy was it hard. I asked her to cook it medium infrequently to medium, but I found it very difficult to show. Which is a shame because the brandy reduction was good and I liked the coffee and pepper crust. ????????

I... read more "
