"We did not book, as we were just wandering around Southbank...and what a find!!! The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was exceptional. Food and beer were oh so yummy :) We were seated at a table overlooking the Yarra, view was awesome. We will definitely be returning."

"We were lucky enough to get through the very crowded Van Gogh exhibition early and found lots of room in the restaurant. As usual service and food were excellent. During lunch the place filled up with diners except for a couple of tables for 2. We heard patrons turned away and thought that those tables were reserved. Surprisingly as other diners finished and left and the number of vacant tables increased to 7, people were still being turned away. It was Saturday and the time was about 1.30pm. 2 couples who had been told to come back later did and were seated. Others still turned away for no obvious reason. Plenty of wait staff on duty. Maybe kitchen was under stress, but no one seemed to be in a hurry. Patrons would have been happy to wait. Perhaps extra revenue does not matter. Very strange way to run a business that relies on public support."
