"Only the ‘Well-heeled’ visit Zürich, is what a few friends said. We were unprepared for our first night and just stupid on our second night. Our first evening dining experience resulted in one of us choosing to leave the restaurant before committing to a costly error of judgment. On our second night, we didn’t check the reviews. We saw Fondue and assumed it would be a pleasant experience, possibly a bit touristy but we are tourists and that can’t be dismissed. Ok, my rule is (usually) only 3 stars and above. Below that and a venue doesn’t deserve the oxygen of publicity. Le Dézaley provides food that is edible, well cooked and like any and every other place in Zürich, priced to shock first time visitors like us. I can’t complain about the food, other than it was expensive composited with the same dish in another country. Our waiter was ask tall overbearing chap, not accustomed or wary of his proximity to his customers. He mistook every thing we asked for in favour of something more expensive and ignore our responses when he offered something we didn’t want. This was us being ‘worked’ as tourists. Everything was angled to make more from us than we wanted to spend and when we got something he didn’t want to sell us, like the wine, we got a bottle of something an habitual morning drinker would think twice about choosing. As we paid, our waiter asked for a tip. You read that correctly, he actually asked for a tip, over and above the statutory 2.5% on all Swiss food bills. He didn’t get it. As a result, our experience was soured. The concerning thing was that the venue was busy with lots of people wanting that ‘fondue’ experience. We simply didn’t like it."

"One of my Swiss friends invited us for dinner and I would say that this is probably the best traditional Swiss food I ever had. The inside of the restaurant is barely bigger than my living room, and looks a bit like it is on...a traditional Swiss Alm We enjoyed Bündner Fleisch', Flädle Soup and Salads as starters and then I had the best Leberli' with Rösti ever. We topped this with a maroon desert and some snaps. Simply said, a wonderful dinner, accompanied by a great house wine. Just be sure you bring a lot of Swiss Francs...."

"Great experience and attention from staff. When confirming the reservation, I only indicated that I wanted to sit up, as it is quieter, for my girlfriend's birthday and at the end of dinner they brought her a special dessert with a candle above. It was really a pleasant surprise, as it was even a surprise for me. Menus are fixed, but you can still mix networks and create your own 3-4 courses."

"For anyone who is not from Switzerland, Zurich may appear like the most expensive city in the world — more expensive than NYC or San Francisco. Restaurants are no exception to the rule, and finding a reasonable, yet affordable venue constitutes a real challenge. Italian restaurants, in Switzerland or anywhere else, are generally a hit or miss — why would anyone pay tens of dollars for a foul pasta dish that one could cook better at home? Ristorante La Casa turned out, however, to be an agreeable surprise. The atmosphere is cozy and quiet. Guests can see the cook prepare the dishes in the center of the restaurant. The menu features a large selection of homemade pizzas and pasta dishes. So, is a single-size pizza served at La Casa worth the $22 they charge for it? Compared with equivalent restaurants in Italy, probably not, but once again, this is Zurich. That being said, the crust was thin and lightly baked, with exquisite toppings — we chose the Porcini, which is tomato-based, with ceps or porcini mushrooms and mozzarella, and the Matice, which is mozzarella-based, with spinach leaves and ricotta. The pasta dishes with equally succulent — a ravioli misto plate featuring different fillings, and linguini with a lemon-cream sauce and lax. The beverage selection is limited, albeit adequate — do not expect to find vintage wine bottles though. Last, the service was impeccable and efficient. All in all, Ristorante La Casa is a safe choice for whomever likes"

"Tonight were three in the taverna catalana, we were served super fast and the recommended kellners gino was just the right one for our taste. my companions had taken the derecote with mushrooms, bratkartoffeln and spinat and I supplemented the seafood with the same. the food was sensational and the atmosphere was easy to enjoy.The absolute highlight of the evening was the homemade crema catalana to dessert! Around an excellent evening, I can only recommend it!A thanks to miguel and his team!"
