"So, I have to say that despite the latest reviews, we decided to visit this restaurant given its rating on Trip Advisor. Mistake!! We should have clued in when we walked through the door and wondered if they were open as there was no one there. This was the worst fish and chips that we’ve had… and the worst meal we’ve had in any of the restaurants we have visited during the last week on Vancouver Island. First we were told they were out of halibut. So we had the haddock… batter was over fried, brownish… fries tasted like they’d been sitting in the fryer for a while. The place was dark, dingy. Anyway, not a great experience! And, learned a lesson… believe the most recent reviews!"
