"Had the fish of the day (sea bass) with chips and house salad. very accommodating, they simply grilled it without butter, because I am lactose intolerant. came really fast, piping hot and was very full of it!"

"We decided to visit after passing many times. Had seen that the variety of drinks on offer was very good. Parked up on the car park at the side. A bit awkward turning in as we had a car close behind and had to shoot past to turn round and come back. As no street lights it’s hard to see in the dark. However got into the pub and then realised they did not take card. This restricted what we could order so drinks only. A great selection of cask ale, gin, bottled beers and cider on offer and the food menu was very reasonable in price and had a good selection. Was just sad they did not take card hence the rating as we did not get to experience the food which did smell good. The decor is traditional and some may say dated however the staff were friendly and welcoming. I understand that the pub was up for sale and recently been sold. As I did not know it before then all I can judge is now. All I would suggest is the ladies toilet need updating and locks adding to the doors. A family friendly pub and is obviously loved by the locals and a step back in time. However anyone visiting make sure you have cash on you otherwise it will be drinks only and a short visit."

"Came in the other night after a good walk at Glen Mary and I must say the food is fantastic!! Good portions of chips and an even better portion of fish they even give you a good amount of scraps as well will...gladly be returning and totally recommend to others"
