"We visited Bar Isabel 4 years ago on the recommendation of our son. On our first trip since Covid, we drove 5 hours to visit Toronto just to eat at Bar Isabel. We were worried that our expectations were high, since our first visit was...so exceptional. Well, it was even better than we remembered. The staff was friendly and attentive. Christopher, our server, was exceptional. Just the right amount of making sure we were well taken care of, and leaving us to enjoy the meal. The food was incredible. The best croquettes we have ever had. (This includes those we ate in Spain and Miami). The special; Sobrasada on bread with honey and foie gras, was out of this world. The Basque cake (which we've had in Spain), was incredible. In all, we will continue making the trip to Toronto, just to eat at Bar Isabel."

"This past Tuesday was our second visit to Pascal and Sabine. The food was again excellent. The service was efficient (although see comment below). However, I have two issues one minor and one major. The minor issue is that the menu is nearly identical to what it was two years ago. A few new items and/or interesting specials are needed at this point. The major issue arose when we were presented the check at the end of the meal. A $17 charge was added for bottled water. We never ordered bottled water. In fact, our waitress only asked if we wanted water for the table. We never saw a bottle of water during the meal (our water glasses were refilled by a bus girl from a metal pitcher). Padding the bill (which was nearly $200 for three diners) with unauthorized charges is clearly a bad practice for any restaurant (not to mention illegal under the Consumer Fraud Act). Normally I would have questioned such a charge before paying the check; however, we were celebrating a birthday and I didn 't want to ruin the evening by getting into a dispute with the waitress over the check. Perhaps it was an innocent mistake; perhaps not. Even if we had ordered bottled water, $17 is pretty high. Not sure if I will visit Pascal and Sabine again or recommend it to anyone."

"We were extremely disappointed with our experience at The Botanical. We stumbled across this after a walk through the gardens, wanting a drink and an early evening meal. From start to finish the service was horrible. The wait staff were not engaged and honestly quite rude. They walked past our table on multiple occasions, looked at our empty glasses and left them there, not offering another drink even though it was quiet when we visited. The staff were too busy talking amongst themselves to care about their paying guests. The atmosphere was completely unwelcoming and we felt awkward the whole time having the owner standing over us (we sat outside on the street), yet not bothering to serve us. The food was overpriced and lack lustre. The only positive, it has a big wine/drinks list if that's your thing. I would never spend another cent at this establishment."

"Eating was excellent, but I was very disappointed when it was described as a romantic dach and I found where it was. it sat next to the pool in a corner surrounded by poolside cabanas and overlooked construction and the pool. it was not very busy in the restaurant area itself, but busy in the whole environment. it was not clear where the restaurant was when we arrived at the hotel. I expected it really on the dach, but it was on the 16th floor of 30 that would have been good if by itself, but instead it was next to the pool and construction."
