"Food was excellent and well prepared. However I received a menu one could not read as it was a misprint. My plate had a huge chip. No merlot or shiraz but offered a nice Tuscan red blend wine. Asked for Captn Morgan rum and they came back and didn't have any. We were offered any table and when we went to sit down we were told it wasn't available. Really need to get their act together. Pricey so didn't expect such blunders."

"We have eaten here many times over the years. It is not my go to place, however we will dine with others when asked. The Good: Nice atmosphere, good salad bar, good baked potatoes. The not so good: Prime rib, grizzly tough. Steak, over- cooked and dry. Lobster tails, a total disaster, BBQ grilled flavor and dryyyyyyy. This place use to be so much better, I honestly think they could use a new chef. Oh, and it is not cheap."

"Today we got to experience Tj's fish and chips. TJ was awesome he let us try the fish before we purchased. Let's put it this way he's won a customer for life. Best fish and chips I've had in my life."

"We visited Allegro on two successive nights in late July both times bringing friends. The first was excellent, especially the pasta special at $18.00. The second occasion the salad included a small and active worm. We returned the salad with the worm to the server and got the comment that all of our ingredients are locally sourced and organic so we occasionally see a worm ! . There was no attempt to replace the salad nor any other comment. When we received the bill, we again asked the server about the worm incident and, after repeating the same statement as above, said she would take the price of the salad $5.00 off the check if we wished . In our experience with good establishments, most would have made more of an effort to remove what might be called an unsavory taste from dining there. Allegro provides a very nice atmosphere with well-spaced tables and attentive service. The wine list, primarily Italian, lists few inexpensive e.g., under $35.00 bottles of interest."
