"My husband and I both really enjoyed the food. The portions aren't large; but we're more about quality and could try more things. The prices are very reasonable and the restaurant is clean and tasteful. It was a little cold inside and the coconut rice wasn't as flavourful as I would have liked; but all in all a very enjoyable dinner."

"Ambience here is nice, and the patio area has a nice array of space heaters and nice views of foliage outside. Staff were quick to seat us but just ok on speed there-after, and down-right slow to pay. Might be due to staffing shortages. The food is good, but nothing great (other reviews that describe how this place's best feature is the ambience are spot on. We had the salmon sandwich which was quite good. We opted for the Caesar Salad which was probably the high point for the food. The seafood crepe was not good at all and we couldn't even eat half of it. It seems like it's smeared in yellow mustard, cheese, and just wasn't appealing. Try some other places in Courtenay before Locals."

"We told the waitress we were splitting all of our order, but when it came, there were no salad tongs to split the salad, and the main meal well, we had to split it ourselves. We're used to getting our meal split (and don't mind paying extra for it) when we share our order. (Obviously not big eaters) The food is great, nevertheless, and not inexpensive. It feels good to support a local business. We can't put our finger on it, but we didn't feel welcome, just served."

"Wanted to try this place for a while, when we first walked in didn't seem like much. But the place was extremely clean, the service was incredible, and the food was homemade and delicious. We've had their bacon cheddar burger twice and we travel roughly 50 km just to get one. It's worth it"

"We drove from this place laborious times and the parking lot is full every time. my wife saw it up and the reviews were high with 300 reviews. we decided to try. despite the full parking space we sat right away. After we had ordered our drinks, we didn't have to wait long for them, and the same if we ordered our meals. we will definitely get in when we are back in the opposite."

"Came here with the kids on an afternoon. They do not have kids menu but the servers are friendly and took away the glasses for us. We ordered the bisque to share. It was smooth and creamy shellfish soup. My preference is to be able to eat the ingredients so wasn't too big a fan of this soup even though it taste ok. We then had the fried oyster with chips which is the daily special. This was delicious. Fresh oysters were good size and the chips were the right crisp. Both my husband and I gave it a thumbs up. Our last dish is the seafood linguine. It has a variety of seafood so Is a good sampler of the scallops, shrimps, and mussels. Pasta was creamy and scallops were good size. Seems like the lunch menu is a cheaper alternative than the dinner menu. Prices are ok as you are paying for seafood."

"Salmon teriyaki with stir fried vegetables and rice ordered. The meal was very delicious, but the salmon was really boiled. The staff was very friendly and gave me a free tea as my order was not ready when they said it was. I will order again, only not laughing there is a great choice to choose. I just had lunch, which was very good. We had both bread boxes. That was much better than the first time we ordered here. "My benny was great. I would recommend them to anyone. My only beef was that the fruit on my plate had been cut a long time before. Maybe days. The fruit had dried out and the rind was shriveled. It makes me wonder that if the sides were sitting around drying out that long how food safe is there kitchen."
