"From the fun chalkboard menu to the open and friendly waiter, we knew immediately that we were going to be charmed by this place. My date had the lamb and said it was tender and delicious. I had the boar (first time)! and the gravy that went with it was divine. Will definitely go again!"

"Beer lines were dirty offered second glass still nasty floatys. Finally offered a can. Didn't offer to take money off the bil in any way. Had to ask for the bill 3 times Just skip this not worth you time or money!"

"I was there with a very large group (not easy to serve) and everything was fantastic! Food was hot and prompt, service was perfect! The staff were knowledgeable, professional and upbeat. The traditional Portuguese dishes were delicious, and the mainstream entrees looked great! Do yourself a favour and come here!!"

"Had a wonderful meal on her terrace tonight. We started with her pig belly and garlic knot. The pig bell was incredible and the knots were great. Then we enjoyed the Diplo Burger and the salmon. The burger was huge and tasty and the salmon was the best I had for a long time. The service was also fast and friendly. We will definitely return!"

"Usually good fish and chips - but the quality of preparation seems to vary rapidly. The amount of fish and chips sdeems to vary quite a bit also.Occasionally the batter is a bit undercooked. Sometimes the chips are small and seem like "ends".We have purchased fish and chips from this location for years - with generally good results. The staff seem to change - along with quality of preparation and amount of food.I recommend asking that fish and chips be prepared "well done" - just to be on the safe side."

"Heads Up, They Have moved to Hamilton. 10 Young StHamilton, ON L8N 1T9 which is where they had the event. My partner and I , with two other couples paid $75/ each for Dinner and Dance to welcome the new year. When we arrived they immediately recognized the reservation name and got us seated at a table with or ticket set out. The served the dinner in a well paced fashion, with Cuban delights. The menu included a hot and hearty soup, followed by 3 options for appetizers, salad, and 4 options of main course (Shrimp, Beef, Pork & Chicken) .The portions were generous. 1 glass of wine/sangria was included.The MC for the night was very entertaining with a great voice. There were lots of prizes, and a short Salsa lesson. They also laid out desserts, and burgers on the side later in the night before midnight and had a glass of champagne included for the New Year toast..We found out the owner was the chef and his wife. The only downside was that the bar tender was not always at the station, which meant , people who wanted additional drinks had to wait, or decide not to buy more. Overall the staff and owners seemed very passionate about the event."

"We really wanted to like this restaurant because it's local and as much as we can ,we do support local businesses. The interior is spacious although perhaps lacking in warmth , however I have been told that a more austere look is all the trend. That we can put down to personal aesthetics. The service was prompt and friendly and the wine list offered a good selection at reasonable prices. I had a pasta dish and it was very good my companion chose to order lasagna which he found had more ricotta cheese than he likes, but again that is a matter of personal taste. I would have certainly given Izzys a better rating had it not been for the jarring sound coming from the piano. No doubt that young pianist has talent but I'm not quite sure why he is trying to prove it by playing so loudly. We were sitting beside each other and still we had trouble having a conversation at a normal level. After the introductory cords every piece sounded similar and I have to say unfamiliar. In truth we would have stayed longer and perhaps had another glass of wine or two, but it was a relief to step out into the relative quiet of the traffic. I am somewhat puzzled by the descion to have the type of music that was being played and most of all the choice to have it so excessively loud. If the owner is aiming for ambience perhaps a more traditional softer approach could be considered."
