"Tasty meals, cosy and entertaining atmosphere, welcoming staff! Pets are welcomed, or at least dogs (so don't bring your possum pet just in case! They offer meals from breakie to dinner, and tasty beverages. Their battered fish and chips was something i will recommend to try. The extra treat is the sea view from the outside tables!"

"Neat club room/bar/bistro Very tidy and well presented. Staff have always been friendly and accommodating. We love dining outside on the deck overlooking the beautiful Bay of Islands. Food is very nice and the beer is cold. Opens at 3:30pm but kitchen doesn’t start mains until 4:30pm. We love it and don’t hesitate to recommend everyone pop in and try for themselves."

"We had a lovely meal tonight at Madly Indian. The service received was very polite and courteous, and the food was simply delicious. We highly recommend dining here, in the building with the Paihia Club and RSA. Well priced drinks for members and guests, also a nice place to visit."

"Wonderful experience. As locals we enjoyed an excellent evening out on Darryl’s Dinner Cruise. Darryl is a great host, ensuring guests are relaxed and well looked after. We ordered the lamb which was cooked to perfection on the barbeque. The leisurely cruise up the Waitangi River gives an idyllic view of the area and a stunning closeup of Haruru Falls. Thoroughly recommend."

"Tasty food, but be warned that most of the food that's labeled "gluten free option" actually isn't safe if you have celiac since a lot of it is fried. I had some delicious snapper with kumara and felt very safe since they clearly understood cross contamination. Just be aware that you won't have many options."

"You can find The Glasshouse Restaurant in the Bay of Islands, Paihia, New Zealand. It is located in the beautiful Paihia Beach Resort and Spa a short picturesque walking or driving distance from the central dining area in Paihia. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and used out Entertainment Card valid for 1 Complimentary main dish. The food is served family style as it arrives, and is intended to be shared. We tried the Steak Tartare and Fresh Seasonal Oysters to start, they were delicious and a nice fresh way to start our meal. We particularly liked the homemade crackers as an accompaniment to the Tartare. For mains we tried the Slow Cooked Lamb and the Flank Steak – both were cooked to perfection and very good portion sizes. I am a salt and pepper fiend but I had no desire for either on this occasion. There was an excellent selection of drinks available including wines and whiskey. My husband enjoyed a Japanese whiskey suggested by our waiter that was not on the menu. This was a special treat for us and we had expected this to be quite an expensive restaurant hence using our Entertainment Book. What we found was great food, resort town comparable pricing and excellent service. We noticed many tourists walking by opting to line up and other local restaurants when we felt that this restaurant has so much to offer. Definitely worth having a look when you are in Paihia."
