"I have given this place multiple tries and unfortunately I (nor my company) have ever had warm meals. they always come out cool/cold . is there not a warming area? If so it is broken. Also seems they are always understaffed giving one person all responsibilities (host, bar, server, cashier) who is not to blame. The staff member has always been patient and friendly. The serving sizes are ok prices high (being in a hotel I suspect). Ordering the prime rib medium rare gets you well done. Salmon is always well over cooked too. I can say the Seafood Chowder is awesome however again a bit overpriced. Done giving them chances."

"I loved this joint it's menu, variety of items, the excellent friendly service, and the fun decor. I visited for brunch with a local and was surprised it was available on a weekday! The menu had smaller items, vegetarian options, traditional eggs, and seafood. It was a bright and friendly. The location on Water street was central to many of the shops and sites downtown."

"I hadn 't been to this restaurant in about 10 years, but had gift cards so decided to try it out again. When we arrived my wife and I were seated at a table to the right of the entrance very close to the door which certainly must have been the worst seat in the restaurant which may have detracted from the ambiance. I heard later that the table next to us was initially put there but they asked to move. Our waitress was kind and professional and provided good service. My wife and I both ordered the striploin and frites. After we ordered our waitress came and told us this is a Californian striploin and wanted to make sure we were fine with this. I wasn 't sure exactly what this meant, but having had striploin many times I figured it was fine. When it arrived it was 2 inches thick and looked much more reminiscent of a filled, but was much tougher. It wasn 't bad, but certainly was not what I expect and the tenderness wasn 't great. Unfortunately for the price (49+tax) there are much better options in the city (Merchant Tavern comes to mind). We also found the atmosphere not to be our preference, but this is certainly a personal preference and I believe was influenced by the table we received. Not sure we 'll visit again given the plethora of great dining options downtown. Overall an okay meal."

"Apparently you can't pay a tip with debit - can only do so with cash. Some nonsense with management saving money by not having tips as a debit option, so the onus is on the wait staff to request cash from customers. We were there for a reunion, and there were two tables totalling about 30 people. Our waitress was friendly and quite efficient, and the service overall was good for that number of people. You won't see me back there (there's great food all over this city now, so I won't be hurting), and I'll be telling people I know to spend their money elsewhere. To the good and efficient staff there, I'd suggest you find a restaurant with management that cares properly about their staff."
