"First time visiting. Very warm welcome and friendly staff. We ordered the chicken wings and crocettas to start. Both were very tasty. We had pizzas for our mains when they arrived we realised we didn't need the starters. They are big. And boy are they good. I'd put them in the top 3 pizzas I've ever had. Certainly better than any pizza I've had in Italy. The toppings were fantastic, but it's the crust which is the star. Just amazing crisp but soft at the same time. After chatting to the chef (an Italian! , he told me the dough is given 72 hours to rise. You can see the pride he has in his product. Very authentic, and super delicious. Can't wait to return."

"Out for a spontaneous midweek Italian with my partner. We were greeted warmly and ordered some pre meal drinks. I noticed the table wasn 't particularly clean and the furniture is generally tired. There were spiders webs and dust on the walls. So my impressions were not well furnished or clean. The ambience wasn 't what I was expecting from the frontage of the restaurant as this is more of a café mostly noted as the drinks were plonked down on the cloth-less table and we were bluntly advised the kitchen was closing soon so if we could 'hurry with our order '. I 'm sorry but if the kitchen is closing you could argue why we have sat down in the first place, you instantly feel rushed and unwelcome and we should 've left. It was 8pm may I add and I thought this was a restaurant? Therefore the ambience is nonexistent nor very relaxing and as is so typical of restaurants in this area it is very much a 'get in ' and 'get out ' place. I didn 't expect a fine dining experience but if you are paying to eat out you shouldn 't feel rushed like the restaurant are doing you the favor for allowing you to eat there. When the waitress (Who was pleasant) took our order the front of house man came again to the table and said the 'kitchens closing soon ' at which point I felt like saying well why did you sit us down and what more can I possibly do to speed up this process? I am placing my order and I 've been in here for little over 10 minutes. On most days at this point I would 've literally just paid for the drinks and left. The food was pretty average but not desperate, the Muscles were bland with too much sauce and the pasta dishes were 'claggy ' and had been over flavored with oregano herbs to some tune to which I could 've done better in my own kitchen. I really went in to Avanti hoping a long established restaurant of the Moor would come up with the goods but sadly it 's not for me and I wouldn 't return."

"An hour wait for the food (seemed to be only 1 chef), the food when it came was very tasty and piping hot. Only 4 portions of chips came, when questioned on where the 5th was after 5 minutes of waiting. We were told they had ran out of chips. Issues when paying the bill, as the drink on the bill were more expensive than the menu used to order them. At which point the waitress became argumentative, seemingly they had increased the prices and put a drinks menu on the table. However, the food menu had drinks on the back with the old prices and this is what we had used to order our drinks. At no point was anything mentioned about price increases and to read the correct menu. Overall its a quaint Italian restaurant with a lovely selection of good quality food, however let down by the speed of delivery and the service."
