"Walked past this small bar on the walk into the city centre and called in on the way back to our hotel. With the owner’s broken English and our broken Spanish we mated to order mussels in a tomato and onion sauce and baby squid, cooked in their own ink. The food was very good. As we finished, the owner came and had a chat. It turned out that he worked there on his own, doing the cooking as well as the serving. Very pleasant and friendly chap. Well worth a visit."

"Considering Spain relies on tourism the service in this restaurant is atrocious! Antonio clearly only wants to serve Spanish customers as each time we went he said it was closed. Despite there being Spanish customers there and opening full bottles of wine for them yet...he wouldn’t serve us! To say I’m appalled is an understatement! We are the only English speaking tourists in la Carihuela and Antonio has refused us three time’s in one week. Obviously Spain doesn’t feel it necessary to serve tourists this summer! They’re lucky we are here and we should be respected as paying customers. If you’re Spanish enjoy!"

"I usually go with my wife and two daughters every time. is a different place, very wigs, which is usually your main clientele. eats very well and the personal treatment of the waiters is very good.
