"Very disappointing dinner, not at all French and less-than-average in taste/ quality. Bad enough to spur me on to write a review. I had the duck à l'orange, which was way too sweet and tasted like an entire jar of cheap marmalade had been dumped on the overcooked duck. My partner had the ravioli, which wasn't as bad as the duck, but definitely not worth the price. The kids shared the John Dory fillet but the kitchen was out of John Dory so we got snapper instead, and while it was meant to be a fillet, there were many bones in it - if it was meant to have bones, it would've been nice to have been given fair warning especially since the waitress knew that our kids (aged 9 and 2) would be eating it! We were initially told that the fryer wasn't working so they'd have to replace fries with mashed potato, but ten minutes later we were informed that the fryer was working after all... The fries were severely overcooked and tasted like frozen fries hastily fried up. All in all one of the worst dinners I've ever had for the price. This place is in a brilliant location; it needs a massive makeover, a new maitre d', and new chefs who can actually cook authentic French food."

"My first time at the Stand, loved it. Went with fa friend and we had a corner table . The views were great both of Williamstown and the City. Service was stand out our waiter was very attentive to out requests. But the seafood platter was amazing! I asked for no mussels , but was given for fish and calamari instead. It was huge , we couldn't finish it that's how big it was. Prices are reasonable for a seafood restaurant. Parking was easy right out front..Highlu recommend for a excellent dinner."

"Fantastic food...particularly the chicken and calamari - they were so tender and moist... we shared the $55 Banquet & there was more food than we could possibly eat so they packed our deserts to go as we rolled out of the place. The staff were very friendly & the service was good. If I was to get really picky .... maybe some background music would have been nice, but otherwise lovely atmosphere and a friendly family feel to the place. This has now become my favourite Greek restaurant."

"Happy hour between 4 7 was a great way to start. A few drinks and then amazing food. First a Prawn Crab Bruschetta which although a little small for the price tag was really yummy. Hubby then had the Seaford Platter which was huge and all well cooked. I had a Chicken Breast which I really enjoyed. Would recommend the food and service to everyone, we were very impressed."

"I have been here 3 times in two weeks. This is how much I like this place. The food is very very good and the sauces are over the top, really incredible, no matter if it's the wine-butter-garlic sauce for seafood or the red wine juice for the steak or the faboulous butterscotch for the sticky date. This place is awesome. The only problem they have, and that's why my rate is not a 5/5, is the beer list: honestly, it's a bit poor, and you expect more in a pub, especially in the matter of craft beers"
