"Als Schöneberger bzw. Kreuzberger Patchworkfamilie kennen wir seit Jahren viele indische Restaurants, ganz einfach weil es selbst kleinere Kinder lieben und die Großen sowieso. Also probierte ich mit Tochter mal etwas Neues aus. Sie Weichkäse mit Spinat usw., ich nahm Ente kross gebraten in rotem Curryrahm mit Gemüse. Das Positive zuerst: beide Gerichte sehr gut, vor allem raffiniert gewürzt, echt gelungen. Und wenn man es, so wie ich, scharf möchte, dann bekommt man auch scharf. Und zwar ein "scharf", das lange anhält und die Aromen verstärkt, anstatt sie zu überdecken. Auch das Fleisch sehr aromatisch und schön knusprig umhüllt.Nun zu den Minuspunkten: solche Gerichte gehören getrennt serviert, d.h. S, egalalat auf Platte, Reis extra und Gericht in einem Töpfchen, sodass man sich mehrmals auf einem Teller auftun kann. Stattdessen: alles auf einem Teller, und am besten die Salatsauce noch zur Hälfte über den Rest! Schad e. Mich stört so etwas, wirkt wenig liebevoll. Entsprechendes gilt leider auch für die Bedienung: kaum ein Wort, und was ich nicht leiden kann - egal welche Gastronomie - ist wenn das Essen einem wortlos "vorgesetzt" wird. Das Interieur ausserdem echt einfallslos. Diese Punkte führen leider zur Abwertung bei ansonsten echt gutem Preis-Qualitäts-Verhältnis."

"To an English curry enthusiast, the dishes served here may have the same names that we are used to but what you get bears no similarity to what we know and love. I had a Mutton Jalfrezi, and what came was completely bland dish with...the meat covered in a pinky thick soupy sauce that was like thickened tomato soup. no heat in it whatsoever. My friend ordered a Vindaloo, which was similar. Very disappointing. Similarly the poppadom starters were weird, flat uninteresting discs that had no lightness . The naan bread didn't come till half way through the meal, and had to be requested three times. On the plus side, toilets were OK, and nobody had stomach probs the next day. Price was reasonablelow"

"We fell into this place walking from the crowded Mauerpark flea market on a Sunday. Weather was perfect so we sat at an outdoor table and enjoyed Chicken Makhani and a grilled vegetable dish. The whole experience was lovely--good food, nice server, fair prices."
