"I was very happy to see a new Indian restaurant location open in Burlington (close to Bronte on lakeshore). The food really is excellent, rich, fresh, good quality Indian food, reasonably priced. My husband loves the chicken korma, I love the vegetarian dishes, the paneer is really nice. The food is not greasy at all (a problem with all the other places we have tried) The naan bread is great & there is a good selection of side dishes. We order and collect, there are a few tables to eat in too. They have made the small location look v classy. I hope they get lots of regulars like us....they deserve to."

"Came with a group of friends for drinks and some food in the evening. First of all, the bouncer was quite rude when asking people to line up. The inside is dark and dingy, and staff were lingering around, apparently watching guests. Food tasted good, but we found the prices quite high ($13 for poutine). One friend was also denied drinks, even though she had very little to drink. She has an accent ... after reading the review from August 2016 alluding to unequal treatment of a person with a disability this recent event brings up some questions...."

"We have been eating at Bombay Grill since 2013 as our go to Indian restaurant. Tonight’s take out order was inedible. All of the dishes were incredibly greasy and the Mixed Vegetable curry (pictured below) appeared to have been made from a bag of frozen vegetables. The pakoras were primarily batter and the naan was old and tough not fresh at all. When my wife called the restaurant to share our concerns, rather than asking what they could do to make it right, the man who answered the phone refused to connect her with the owner and said “I don’t believe you”. This is such a terrible way to treat loyal customers and we will not be back. I never leave negative reviews but this was such a disappointment the treatment by the restaurant staff more than the food. Any chef can have a bad night but being rude to customers is unacceptable."

"Literally this website should have provision for negative ratings. Most pathetic experience in GTA. Pathetic food, pathetic experience with the staff. Really dont waste your time and money in visiting this place"

"This is a must try. It’s a small family operated take out with a few tables. Never disappointed from wings to their specialties. My favourite is the mantu which melts in your mouth Don’t forget to pick up a naan. Delicious"

"If you are a lover of spicy afghan food, then this is the place ,especially for lunch. There is this offer of getting one dish of grilled meat (chicken or beef)with rice , green salad, and a pop for 10$. It was very tasty and a good value for money. The chaplee kebob and the chicken shami were delicious . The tandoori chicken was ok ."

"Tried this place when it first opened a few years ago, we left the food on the table it was awful. having read recent favourable reports tried it again, I was first put off by how dirty the place looked , the front windows hadn't been cleaned for years, but perhaps this is how restraunts are in India so, I gave it another shot. ordered a shrimp biryani takeaway, a dish I used to enjoy in UK, bur the ones I've tried in Canada have been disappointing the sauce being a cold white insipid liquid.. The menu stated that it came with a sauce, was prepared with spices and saffron, garnished with crispy fried onions , this appealed , and I asked if it was a curry sauce, they said it was, even asked how spicy I wanted it . Opening up at home I was dismayed to find a cold white insipid sauce , the supposed shrimp biryani was devoid of shrimp ,not a hint of spices and certainly no saffron. Itried a couple of spoonfuls and threw it all into the garbage . The worst Indian I've had in over 60 years of liking Indian food !"

"After several years of dependably excellent food, Amaya radically changed their recipes definitely for the worse. We'll never eat there again. We thought we knew Amaya Express Brant St very well after enjoying 50+ excellent meals in a row over 6 years. But that...all changed abruptly after our last takeout. All of our favourite recipes had changed from excellent to awful. The spinach sauce we loved had gone from green to brown, and tasted completely different. All the mild sauces we liked were suddenly extra spicy. Even the simple pakoras were much too salty to eat. Unbelievable. Instead of trading favours for the last spoonful of sauce, we dumped most of the meal into the green bin. And felt sad about the passing of a beautiful thing."
