"Fantastic evening last night, brought my 92-year-old mother who had a great time. the employees were absolutely brilliant, very friendly, prestige, courteous and always served us with a wonderful smile. the food was wonderful, flawless. "We arrived to an empty restaurant bar 3 people. Our waiter (the only waiter) was out of his depth from the get go. We ordered a glass of Prosecco and a G&T. 'Sorry Madam but no Prosecco '. We ordered 2 G&T 's which arrived in enormous glasses with the gin sobbing that it was so out of it 's depth having to swim amongst the ice cubes. Two little cans of tonic were opened at the table and poured into the gin to keep it company. Sadly the sliced lemon missed out on the party! Cheers and let 's look at the menu! We ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir. 'A random bottle of white appeared and was sent back. Sorry Sir we don 't have the Pinot Noir... '. We ordered a Merlot instead. It arrived in an ice cooler on a lot of ice. It 's red wine! I loved the look of the Goan Beef for a starter, hubby the Chicken Tikka Masala. 'Sorry madam we sold the beef yesterday '. Ok! I 'll have the scallops! 'Sorry madam.... ' I ended up choosing the squid. Nothing to write home about as my review will bear out. Mains Chicken (sadly the menu isn 't on line so I can 't name the dish but it had one chilli against it signifying the heat of dish) and hubby had Rack of Lamb. Neither tasted of anything let alone chilli or anything pungent, spicy or authentic. At this point we were both so disappointed and feeling forgotten about as the 'only ' waiter chatted to his mate. I 'd like an Irish Coffee says I to hubby (trying to make light of a pretty mundane meal) but... 'Sorry Madam the coffee machine has broken it 's not possible to make Irish coffee ' Bill paid, I wouldn 't go back but I 'll leave that up to you guys. This is only a review after all! And before you ask did we complain? No. Plates were hot, tables, cutlery, glasses and crockery were clean. It was obvious that we were disappointed and somewhat annoyed at our treatment and the lack of our choices but complaining about the standard of food is a whole different thing. Was it cooked as the chefs would have expected to eat the food. I can 't answer that but I doubt it!"

"During 2022 they had regained the usual standard however last two visits Sept 2022 have been lacking. Gone are the stalwart warmers and stainless steel dishes and now its crockery and off set plates. Portions have shrunk dramatically as has quality and taste. King prawn pathia use to be really tasty with large butterflied prawns but last visits has been small prawns bordering on big shrimp and half the taste and portion. Garlic chilli chicken portion shrunk, not as tasty as before and overpowered by salt. The byriani was up there with the best I had tasted but last couple ordered have been tasteless and prawns as previously mentioned. Tarka daal the consistancy of water, Love this place and pains me to leave bad reviews after frequenting for 30 odd years but needs sorting by new post covid owner as we can see past the state of toilet and loose seating etc but only if the foods spot on."

"Had dinner here in December evening, his right over the street from holiday inn. not much else so that maybe this was for the rest, I was the only one there. beautiful decoration, bright, converted from an old pub. eating was good, but not very sharp, although I went for one of the hotter dishes."

"Food turned up an hour earlier than requested we couldn’t eat it at that time as we were putting our child to bed. Was refused a refund or a new meal to be brought out. I even offered to go and pick up the replacement meal and drop off the old one, but was refused. Extremely rude member of staff then put me on with the manager who repeated the same thing. Was told that I should just put it in the microwave I didn’t just spend £30 on a curry to have a microwave meal.. Will not be returning after the horrible way the staff spoke to me."
