"I 'm a lover of hot curries..and I mean really,really hot curries: A Vindaloo is mild to my palate,so I thought I 'd go one step up and order a Chicken Phall from City Spice. I 'm glad to say it didn 't disappoint. The Chicken was perfectly cooked;fibrous,generous,great texture and not at all like that rubbery,watery injected stuff. (as is customary in so many Indian restaurants these days).The sauce was to die for and had the perfect pureed consistency...cooked and roasted to perfection...Thank you Chef,you have a great palate.. The meal had the taste of a true 'BIR ' (British Indian Restaurant) in the same way I remember it from the 80 's, when we used to stagger home drunk and stop at the nearest Indian restaurant on the way home. The portions are very generous too.Don 't hesitate to order from City Spice. I find that the true benchmark for any Indian restaurant/takeaway is how well they cook their hot curries...If the really hot curries are good the rest of the menu will be outstanding. I 'll definitely be a regular customer here!"

"We’d had a long walk and were famished. We were very grateful that the Golden Cod was opened. We ordered one standard fish and chips and it was enough for both of us. It was cooked fresh to order and was just right. Chips were good too and piping hot. We sat at the picnic benches outside and it was a perfect finish to a great day."

"Have dined here several times in the past but not in the last five years. Took some friends as it was always a decent curry. Unfortunately it must have changed hands. Chicken Pakoras was over cooked and tough. Followed by a Nawabi Khana which was very bland and lacking any kind of heat. Also four bones in the dish so diners beware. Our guests had similar issues with overcooked chicken and bland flavours. Also found bones in food. The garlic naan was the highlight of the evening brilliant. Needs to improve quickly if they are going to remain open. Suggest the staff visit a curry house in Bradford just for comparison."

"Just had some take away from Sitar and I was blown away with the quality. The curries were really tasty, I was truly impressed! We had kingprawn mughal, chicken dansak, kingprawn tandoori and sag aloo. The naans were great as well. We will order again when we are next in Bethesda!"

"I arrived on a Friday night and this was my first visit to Bangor. Many of the surrounding pubs and restaurants to this halal, takeaway chippy and spice cuisine were busy, in this university city. Small, clean and politely welcoming. A good choice of food...from kebab, grill, tandoori, curry, burgers and pizza. Open days a week from am untill midnight. Free home delivery if required. Parking is not good near by, as this chippy is situated on a one way, fairly narrow road. My chicken mushroom pizza was good and cost Tel."
