"Had not eaten here for many, many years, but when I did used to frequent it, the food was always excellent and was one of the best Indian restaurants in the town. However, on a recent visit things seemed to have gone downhill quite a...bit. First off, pappadoms which were quite greasy and smelt and tasted like they were cooked in old oil. On to mains and all of us commented that the main dishes were quite poor and generally falvourless not a patch on what they used to be. The chicken in my dish was also quite odd with a strange texture. I only ate about half before calling it a day. The nan bread I had was also dripping in grease and not very pleasant. On the plus side, the rice was good, drinks fine, and the waiters were friendly. It was the food that was the issue and we all agreed we'd certainly not be rushing back which is a shame as it used to be so good."

"Tonight was about the time I visited this restaurant and it will be the last. before we enjoyed good food and great customer service. the meal started well with poppadomen and delicious appetizers and then it went downhill. we and our meals were lukewarm or cold. our food was reheated (in a microwave I think) and returned. it was a delicious meal, but brewed by the temperature of the curry. at the end of the meal little was done about the sub-standard main meal times we all had, but we finally got some money out of the bill. when leaving the restaurant we were told that we did not come back or order a takeaway, as we would not get the food. I would not recommend this restaurant because of the bad customer service we have received."

"Ordered food for me and my partner. When we got back home the order wasn’t quite what I expected. This wasn’t an issue for eastern spice and they quickly and efficiently went above and beyond what I expected from them and resolved the problem within minutes. Top quality food and customer service. Highly recommend. Good job guys!"

"Pleasantly surprised how nice it is to eat. spotlessly clean shop, service is a bit frosty, but eating is better than most. not very spicy, but tasted fresh and not oily. if the food was so good on Tuesday at 18 o'clock, it must be good on Friday...8 o'clock. will be reused and recommended to others."
