"Cheap prices, poor quality. We were on the hunt for a new Indian spot close to us, decided to give this place a go. Sadly it was a poor experience. The service was shocking, we weren't even greeted as we entered and were not spoken to again for the duration of meal. When we were served she just walked up to us. When the food was cooking, there was no aroma which I found strange as that is what I expect when I have Indian. Then the food was served, the samosas which I saw placed in the microwave before going into oil, we're so hard that you couldn't eat parts of them, and you needed to hold it in order to cut it in half. The vegetable pakoras, were very dry and tasted very earthy, again disappointed. The butter chicken, was like nothing I've ever had, it had the consistency of puréed tomato, and tasted exactly the same, no taste of the spice which I am used to with butter chicken and it wasn't creamy at all. The naan was the highlight of the meal. Yes it was cheaper than normal, but I won't be going back again."

"Great food but they always overcharge the bill everytime. Often get the take out order wrong by giving you a cheaper meal that you didnt ask for. This happens alot. Check your order and cost. Shame we have to go through the whole thing everytime as food is great. Tonight we got charged for two plain rice when we ordered one saffron rice. When we asked for this to be corrected were told we dont have saffron rice, again they overcharged, aswell as charging us for something we didnt order. Considering this happens evertime I now know it's a deliberate ploy!"

"My favourite Indian restaurant in Adelaide. I am a regular here. The curries are so flavoursome and just an amazing sensory experience! Fresh, tasty, delicious! I could go on! I highly recommend trying the cheese and garlic naan, it is incredible, I could eat it all day."

"Very good real tandoori oven (it's behind a glass window on the way in) cooking. We had lamb Byani, a selection of naan breads and a tandoori starter selection. This included the best Indian style prawns I have ever tasted! Lovely enthusiastic and welcoming staff. There is a page of vegetarian curries in the menu and the eggplant one we tried was delicious. They have a small range of typical deserts but the one that caught my eye was the homemade Indian ice cream but unfortunately we were too full for desert. Belair bottle shop with the famous wall of beer is nearby, but I was not sure if they are byo so I had a pint of fullers ipa that they recommend and it was delicious. There is an extensive wine list and some spirits too. A kid friendly and casual atmosphere with some beautiful artefacts and photos of scenes from India. The only downer were the dead flies on the widow sill that the waitress said she would remove but then appeared to forget. We thought the oil they were using could have been a little old too. Hence, 3 stars for what could easily be a 4 star experience. The present incarnation is called Mumbai Indian restaurant and features the Indian national bird in its logo. It's part of the Belair vines shopping complex on your right as you crest new Belair Rd."
