"Very poor service. Took ages to get pompodoms and when they did arrive the dish they came in had stuck food on it!!! Only 2 pickles never had that anywhere in the world (alarm bells ringing). Waiting staff are not indian so don't know about the food. Had a Karachi chilli chicken, chicken dried out nothing on the menu stipulated the heat strength or anything else. My husband had chicken jalfrazi in all our years never seen a brown one he said it tasted like out of a jar. Pilau rice was brown should be white with coloured flakes! And the naan bread was left as again dried food stuck on serving plate. Never had such a bad curry and lack of hygiene as this AVOID if you know anything about PROPER ibdian curries!!!!"

"I have known uncle Jay for year know and every time he opens up a curry house or takeaway he knows how to make it right went in to kabirs on Watling Street in Wellington with 3 friends knowing that uncle Kay's opened up and straight away I told the guys I know way we are having I order the apna style chicken krayhi and Lamb Krayhi and Lamb chops with 8 rotis best meal every the guys said and thanked me for bring them thank so much for the great food and hope you do well."

"Really lovely spot for some lunch! Me and my sister went today and enjoyed it so much we are already planning on coming again soon and have even sent our family to go and enjoy it tonight too , which they have already reported back with a very positive experience. "Food was perfect, staff were friendly and professional. I think the building itself was under some slight renovations, but that didn't harm the experience. The whole thing was flawless. Will be using this place again. Parking: The parking area is quite small, especially on a busy night. "Christmas Day lunch. We had been last year, quite happily so invited my daughter grandaughter to enjoy a lovely meal out on Christmas Day with us. We were politely greeted at the entrance and seated at a table nicely set for four of...us. The first thing my husband requested was a jug of water and glasses. Then he poured our wine/cider drinks. We carefully studied our menu's It's a very comprehensive menu. The first thing that didn't sit right with me was that a waiter picked up my grandaughter's cracker to get her to pull it with HIM! He then did the same to my husband, leaving only crackers for us to pull as a family! We were enjoying our starters and I asked my husband where our water was. (we had brought our own wine etc, as did everyone else) We still had no water, so I asked for a glass of water. The waiter said we don't sell tap water'. I said I'm not buying any it should be free! He went away and there then began a whispering campaign with other staff. A different waiter told me they do not do tap water. I could see them beginning to look daggers in my direction, from the counter. (I can't call it a bar as they don't serve alcohol) I asked please could I have a glass of water, again as it was my human right. The evil looks and whispers continued. I was beginning to get a bit concerned as I watched them talk and glare at me. This actually went on for a good few minutes until a glass of water was brought to me. I was told that they are not obliged to give any free water. I can only say that this spoiled things for us. Where was the customer service, pleasantness and good will at Christmas etc...? All for a petty drink of tap water. I can say, however that the food was delicious and plentiful. They then seemed a little over zealous in taking every little thing away, which irked my husband. There was a huge dish of Naan Bread that none of us touched which I wanted to take for the birds in my garden. I hope they didn't serve it to some other customer. Their previously pleasant service had turned sour and seemed robotic. After paying our bill and standing to put our coats on... not a single one of them came to escort us to the door to say Thank you, Merry Christmas, Goodbye', which they did with every other customer on exiting. It was a lovely meal but their attitude after I requested water was completely unprofessional. Why? For the sake of a free glass of water which cost them absolutely nothing."
