"We used to come here often but the food quality was lacking so we stopped going as often, today Sunday we decided to give it another go and the food was AMAZING. Our visit started out great; we were sat down by the gentlemen at the entrance, he went ahead and took our order and drink order but that was the only time we were helped by a team member. It was not super busy nor loud until one of their team members (in a green sweater chose to sit on the bar next to us and have a face time conversation. It would have been fine but this conversation was super loud over the quality of two separate sweaters (Walmart and Shein , in an attempt to mind our own business we put on a show to distract us but her conversation only got louder so we put the volume a little higher which then prompted a dirty look by said service member (we had hoped she?d get the hint . She continued to move all around the restaurant after that which also prompted looks from others but she was oblivious. I had to hunt down someone for a refill of water, and the check. Not one plate was removed at any time, but food was great. It simply doesn?t go with the atmosphere they?re trying to convey with said behavior from the staff."

"We met friends at Tamarind after we discovered our first choice restaurant wasn't open. We both had driven past it many times but had never eaten there. We have tried the other Indian restaurants in Oro Valley so we were anxious to try this one. We went at 6:30 on a Wednesday night and virtually had the place to ourselves. It is located near the former Foothills Mall across from Barnes and Nobles. It was plenty of free off street parking. We were seated right away without a reservation. There is both inside and outside dining. The inside dining room is spacious. It was nice to be seated separately from others. With the high ceilings and open space, it was easy to converse throughout the meal. Carafes of ice water were already on the table. Our waiter was friendly and efficient providing the right amount of attention without being intrusive. The menu has many options with both vegetarian and meat lover options. We ordered 4 dishes to share and one order of lamb biriyani. The lamb came in its own crock with a cover of naan bread. We had more than enough food for four adults and even we able to take home some leftovers. Everything was prepared well and spiced according to preferences. The only disappointment was the naan bread served separately. It was cut into four small pieces and was fairly dry. Otherwise we enjoyed our dinner there. We were able to visit with each other for almost two hours without being rushed away. We look forward to returning to Tamarind in the future."

"Excellent delicious food! very glad that it showed up when I had gagled Thai. we decided it was the closest and took a gamble. we had combo-plate-curries and noodles. 6 people all enjoyed their meal full! they offer a small terrace back, but we decided to eat inside. it is not ac so conscious now it is incredibly warm and moist. I had the spicy chicken combo plate with cocoss sauce and it was not super spicy and very tasteful. their drinks are closed containers in a refrigerator, not a great variety, but they can indirectly fill their water bottle with the water crawl there. explores this menu in this summer irresistibly a few times as take-out! there is a poster about the owner! that is really a small business that is worth supporting and filling her bauch!"
