"Had dinner in this neighborhood bar and restorer last night. I really liked that they had a drink menu with their special cocktails. I had the Jalapeño Margarita, who was really good. When a place says it has a spicy margarita, they usually only throw a piece of jalapeño in it and call it good. Here at Maverick House Tavern, they actually had a tired Jalapeño that makes it so much better. We ordered the nachos for an app. Unfortunately, they were not the best. Only had a single layer of cheese, so if you don't get a chip from the top you won't get a chance on cheese and they lose their name list if they only have a bunch of chips. I had a sharp shrimp taco and Cajun chicken taco. Unfortunately, they were more average in taste. I still give this place 4 stars. The waiting staff was friendly and I hope it was just one night for the kitchen. Drinks were good. I'd try to see the food again. Good place for a drink."
