"The place is beautiful, has a large covered parking space, the restaurant is new and eating great. it is rare in the position to have authentic American comfort eating in san luis potosi, but from what I had this time, the restaurant NOT...dissapoint I am ready to go back very soon and try other elements in the menu. montecristo sandwich and the pulled pigs afteros are just great."

"Great concept and the execution of food is good, the meat is made right with beautiful flavors. The pages are good and on the right track. I don't say that easily, we are certified judges in the Kansas City BBQ company and... are BBQ cuisine. The sauces are nearby, but need some help. I really like the decor and the open feeling at the place, the only thing missing was the smell of the smoker and some good blues music in the background. We love the place and will be back. The best American grill I had in Mexico that I did not cook myself!!!"

"First off, there are 3 Chili's that I saw in SLP. One is near Parque Tangamanga (this one, I believe), one is downtown past the Plaza Fundadores near the bus pick up area, and the other is near the bus terminal at the edge of town off of Benito Juarez by Wal-Mart. This is the one in which we ate - a few blocks from the bus terminal. While each restaurant looks the same outside and uses the same menu, my review reflects my experience at the Benito Juarez location. Every restaurant chain from the US that is also present in Mexico has a "Mexican flair" to the menu. Many times, you'll find Mexican dishes and ingredients that have been added/substituted on the menu. Jalapeño flavoring is an obvious favorite. Now, we all know Chili's isn't real Mexican food. It's Americanized Mexican food. As such, I thought the Chili's in San Luis Potosi was ok, if not a bit on the expensive side. It cost around 800 to 1,000 pesos to eat there (for two), not including any alcoholic beverages. That's about $20-$30 per person U.S., which is the average Chili's price in the U.S., but in Mexico, it should be cheaper. I'm sure it's because only tourists eat here, and they don't bat an eye at "American" prices. The service was also amazingly...slow. The tortoise himself could have brought our food and bill faster. Luckily, we weren't in any hurry. Even so, we waited about 30 min to get our dessert. I guess maybe they were churning the ice cream by hand while the cookie was burning in the oven...? The cookie pie was burned black halfway through. We politely asked for another and were served a new one without charge. I'm just wondering, though...how could they be so busy when only 3 tables in the restaurant were occupied? We ate here because it was only one of two restaurants close to our hotel and we wanted cookie pie, to be honest. Sometimes you just gotta have the cookie pie. But there are many very good restaurants downtown for the same or better prices with more prompt service. I like Chili's at home, but abroad, I'd have to say...no. Hope that helps! Happy eating!"
