"The Star of India offers excellent food. The portions are more than generous and always piping hot (and served on warmed plates no less). The hard working staff are pleasant and accommodating. This, and the cozy atmosphere, make it a place you want to revisit often. The prices are more than reasonable and the quality of the food first rate. Have never been disappointed."

"There is a sign in the front : closed for renovations.I hope it will never reopen .This restaurant was one of the worst in Montreal . It had the worst repeated reviews and fines by health inspectors .This restaurant use to be a ¨ JEWL ¨ between the indian restaurants in Montreal and the present owners tried to benefit from the past glory days and failed .not anymore ."

"A typical "Italian" restaurant owned by Greeks.(common to Montreal)You get large portions (lots of doggy bags)for a medium price. The menu items are the typical Italian offerings such as pasta and Pizza and some quickly made Chicken and veal dishes and the various Souvlakis in or out of Pitas. All the food tastes great and service is usually quick except that our waiter forgot to put in the order so our waiting time was over an hour. . The price is low to medium.It is a neighborhood restaurant and great value."

"La nourriture était très bonne! Le servie était bon et rapide. La salle est très grande donc c'est idéal pour les groupes. Il y a aussi des banquettes à côté des fenêtres, parfait pour être à 2 ou 4. Les plus : Il s'agit d'un apportez votre vin et le pain naan était fabuleux!"

"This is in no way a bad restaurant but neither is it any better than OK. The curries were a little bland but portion size was good. Service was good though why they insist you use the same knife and fork for each course is beyond me. Prices were reasonable. Would not be in any way concerned if eating here again but might be tempted to try somewhere else first."
