"They should care about authenticity of Biriyani. Biriyani is not like rice mixed up with curry. We ordered two Biriyani and it looks like. Although taste not bad but the name Biriyani is suppose to be not like that."

"I think this is genuinely my current favorite restaurantI have loved just about everything I have gotten here and I have friends who used to live in SF that always want to go here when they come to visit (which is good, because I rarely make the excuse for myself to drive up to Oakland on my own ! You can't go wrong with the Shaobing Sandwiches, the Laksa, or the Nuggets. I'm a huge fan of the Almond Sesame Shallot Cookies and the Pandan Butter Nian Gao, and the ice cream is great, too, although I'm less likely to order it simply because I'm always ordering takeout and driving it back to either SF or Milpitas. Often there's an item or two I end up with that are spicier than I can typically handle (usually it's the Shaobing Sandwich , but it's always so good I eat the whole thing anyway :P You can order ahead of time online to avoid the (often huge line at/after 5pm on their website, but you can't order the specials (argh! . Gotta be quick or sometimes things sell out fast, especially on the weekends. Pickup is also kind of crazy, because it's nearly impossible to find parking near there, but if you have a second person, you can have them hop out and circle the block."

"4.5 stars. Excellent eating, owner takes a little time on himself. we came here on a federal celebration evening so that the parking spaces were easy to reach (only parking). I took the spot right away. this is our first time and we were out of the bay to visit, so we asked what he recommended, and he said briefly: read the menu! we ordered the goats and the chicken biryanis and the karahi with a garlauch naan and some tee to finish the meal. they were nice enough to tell us that it takes time. how it turns out that preparation really helps, as we were pleasantly surprised when eating came faster than expected. the biryanis were excellent! good seasoning levels, separated and colorful rice, well cooked chicken and goat meat. both bryanis had a homemade effect, which I absolutely enthusiastic! the prawn karahi was more oily than I guess, but the taste and flavor level was excellent! I would still recommend doing chicken or goat/lamb for karahi, the garnelen do not fit exactly with the karahi concept. with the garlic naan the karahi was super delicious! the tee was okay, but I like a certain kind of tee that pretty no one except my mom and I do, so I wasn't surprised. the quantities were decent. we think the two are for two meals. all in all I was very happy with eating with taking the oil in karahi. the owner has warmed us up through the course of our meal and we have left on really good conditions. will definitely recommend who goes to oakland."
