"I am Malaysian so this is the closest restaurant I can find in Kyoto that serves food which reminds me of home. All of their vegan dishes are fantastic but I highly recommend anything that has their signature fried tempeh in it. My favorite is the nasi pecel. They source their tempeh from Indonesian tempeh artisan Rustono so you can be sure it is one of the most authentic and delicious tempeh you've ever tasted. Owners are super friendly and welcoming to their guests. Tucked away in a quiet street among the hustle and bustle of touristy Gion, this is the perfect spot to spend the evening with your friends and loved ones after a day of sight seeing."
