"I've heard about Dapur Van Java echoing away ever since a co worker of mine mentioned it to me. So I've decided to make my journey to Victoria park where the restaurant is. <br/>Dapur Van Java the name had already indicated this is an Indonesian restaurant. We arrived at 7 pm, and we didn't make a reservation, the restaurant is full, but we found a spot in the restaurant. You can make a reservation to get a table inside the restaurant.<br/>We were given the menu at the counter.<br/>The dishes that we ordered are, Pempek Indonesian Fish cake served with sweet tamarind sauce as an entree. This dish is delicious, especially the sweet tamarind sauce that enhanced the fish cake flavours, and inside the fish cake, there is an egg as well. <br/>As for mains, we ordered Ayam Bakar Komplit Grilled chicken, tempeh, tofu, rice and sambal. I loved the sambal, it's incredibly spicy, and when you have it with the grilled chicken, it tasted like spice heaven.<br/>The other dish that I've ordered is Ikan Bakar Bumbu Bali. Grilled Fish fillet, marinated in Balinese spices, served with rice, sambal matah, veggies tofu in peanut sauce when you can't go to Bali, the Balinese style grill fish that brings you back to Bali with the strong lemongrass taste on point. <br/>The dishes are reasonably priced. I will return and try their other dishes!"
