"Went there last night with family from overseas. After fifteen minutes had to ask for menus, had to wave down staff to order, after another long wait,asked when we would see food, was told 5-10 mins, we then found out that they had forgotten to...turn the hot plate on and it takes 15mins to come to heat. The food was pleasant, but I think this place has gone downhill, customer service was nil, ambiance was sad. We won't be back"

"If you are staying at the intercon or oaks on Collins then this is a perfect little place to dine. It is right around the corner and yes, it is as amazing as the reviews say. I popped in after a late evening flight and was delighted to find that this place was perfection. The service was on point and the food was fresh and generous portions. I would made this a regular if I lived in Melb. Highly recommend"

"Lively casual dining space, we sat by the sushi bar for a variety of small pickings, casual banter and drinks. Not too noisy, efficient and friendly staff. We started with gyutan (ox tongue) two ways with salt and butter. Both delightfully unique tastes of an oft underappreciated dish. The umeshu (Harutsuku from Kobe) with its sweet and mild tartness complemented well. Next up, assorted tempura was tasty but a bit batter heavy. Whole grilled ika (squid) cooked just right with a light soy sauce. Platter of yakiniku (meat skewers) was hit and miss: beef was a bit tough but chicken and pork were outstanding. A huge variety of food available, limited only by your budget and stomach capacity. Will surely visit again to try some more dishes."
