"I LOVE the food at Double Nickel. I usually always have to have the Lobster Bisque. It’s top notch. I only go two or three times a year and I typically go to celebrate my birthday with my best friend. Yesterday was one of those days and the lobster bisque didn’t disappoint. Also, shared a shrimp cocktail and that was fairly good. I would have stayed for the main course and ordered more dishes but I was rather taken aback by something that I’ve never experienced before. I asked our waitress if the bartender could make me a mock-tail, as my friend and I have been on a sober journey for years. I have never had a restaurant with a full service bar deny or not even give the option of any mocktail. Our waitress went to ask the bartender and she said they couldn’t make mocktails. Not even a Shirley Temple was I offered… I found this rather strange and honestly it did sour the evening a bit and we went elsewhere. If this is truly the case, I urge you all to reconsider at some point in the future. If I’m celebrating an occasion, I’d like to have something to drink that looks pretty. Either way, thank you for the amazing food. Hopefully, in the near future, I will dine in with you all again and I will always recommend you all."

"This place is next to a few other restaurants, we decided on this place last minute and had about a 30-45 minute wait, which was expected on a Friday night. There's lots of parking available, and the place was super clean! The hostess was very professional and polite when getting out info. You give them your number and you can check what place you are in line from your phone, once your table is ready you get a text! We ended up getting sat right in front of the kitchen, but surprisingly it wasn't loud. Our server was great! She seemed to be taking care of us, a few other tables a birthday group, she made sure our glasses were full and brought us out bread twice. She did an awesome job. When our food came, there was nothing to complain about. Everything was perfect. The quality of the food was great, the taste was amazing, it came out in good time, kudos to the kitchen wait staff and management because we even saw managers helping their crew during this busy time and that's very rare! We def will be back."

"Love the food, service is good, and good wines by the glass. Pretty decor too, but they could use some wood floors in there vs. carpet. Nonetheless, this is a good spot where you can actually get real, fresh food, including fish and veggies, that is not fried or swimming in gravy. God bless Harrigan's a welcome difference in Lubbock!"

"The Pecan Grill sits right off the lobby bar of the Overton Hotel. On the night of our visit, we were seated at a table right next to the bar, so the noise level was quite high, and the ambiance was more of a bar atmosphere. The food itself was decent. I ordered the Prime Rib, which was the special that night. It was served with a baked potato and asparagus, but no au jus or horseradish, and was a bit dry (served medium rare). The homemade ice cream was very good, but the waiter forgot one of the deserts at our table. All-in-all, it was a decent restaurant, but nothing to write home about."
