"My go-to lunch spot whenever I visit Poughkeepsie. I always get the short-ribbed grilled cheese and it is heavenly! The place has a casual vibe and is always busy. I went on a Monday at 3 PM and the place was still 70% full! However, I didn’t wait long for my food, which came out hot and perfect, as always. They use fresh ingredients in every dish, and I’ve never had a bad meal here. It is also located right next to the Walkway over the Hudson. You can leave the café, turn left, and climb the steps that take you right to the entrance of the Walkway. You must stop by, and be sure to place your order in advance if you plan to visit during peak lunch hours. You can always take it to-go and eat your lunch by the Hudson River on Marist’s campus, which is only a 5-minute drive away."
